This Strategy and Operations Manager I role at Google Cloud focuses on defining, implementing, and executing key strategic priorities to drive operational excellence, business growth, and productivity. Responsibilities include business planning, goal setting, territory design, expansion plans, managing business rhythms, providing business insights, ensuring cross-functional alignment, driving strategic partnerships, and executing new initiatives. The role requires influencing executive-level decisions through data-driven insights, advising leadership on business challenges, improving operations through process streamlining and automation, and designing and implementing business cadences to achieve key milestones. The ideal candidate will have experience in Go-to-Market Strategy, Sales Operations, or related fields and possess strong analytical and communication skills.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years experience in relevant field
  • Experience managing business rhythms
  • Stakeholder management & data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills
Good to have:
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience with financial modeling, SQL, Looker
  • Cross-functional collaboration & influence
  • Compelling reporting & presentation skills
  • Knowledge of enterprise customers and cloud technologies

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in Go-to-Market Strategy, Sales Operations, Strategy and Operations, Management Consulting, Finance, or Program Management.
  • Experience managing rhythm of business activities, such as annual business planning, headcount management, running business reviews, or target setting.
  • Experience with stakeholder management and data analysis, generating data-driven insights to influence decision-making.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Experience leveraging analytical skills (e.g. financial modeling, spreadsheet software, SQL, Looker, etc.) to problem solve, influence business leadership, measure outcomes, and evolve recommendations based on results.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing without authority to drive operational excellence, successful delivery of priority initiatives, process improvements, and change management.
  • Experience tailoring and delivering compelling reporting and presentations by audience, asking strategic questions, and leading conversations that drive results and efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise customers and cloud technologies, products and market landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Influence executive-level decision-making around core business decisions, such as prioritization of growth opportunities, through scalable and actionable analytical insights to increase productivity.
  • Be a trusted advisor to your organization and their leadership team, communicating, structuring, and problem solving ambiguous business challenges and supporting organization priorities.
  • Run and improve operations by launching new programs, target setting, streamlining processes, automating tasks, identifying opportunities across the business, and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Organize the design and implementation of business cadence to deliver effective operations and achieve key milestones.
