Job Description

The Account Executive is responsible for executing regional/nation-wide sales strategies and building/maintaining relationships with merchants in their assigned territory. This includes regular visits, understanding merchant needs, and providing advice. Key responsibilities include engaging with leads, conducting business reviews, offering solutions through consultative selling, problem-solving for merchants, observing competitor and market movements, onboarding new merchants through canvassing, supporting city focus projects, ensuring timely submission and administration of processes, and attending training to develop skills.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Good business sense and market understanding.
  • Existing relationships or ability to build them.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fact-based/number-oriented with data interpretation skills.
  • Comfortable working under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
Good to have:
  • Experience in FMCG/Telecommunication/Tech.
  • Significant time spent in representative area (>1 year).
  • Strong network and knowledge of the region.

About the Role

Account Executive (AE) is mainly responsible to execute Regional/Nation-Wide Sales strategy within their areas and also build & maintain relationships with the network of all merchants in their territory including regular visits upon assigned leads. They should understand what the merchant needs and provide advice upon it.

What You Will Do
  • Actively relate to Leads provided through Motion Standard and Virtual Engagement.
  • Routinely conduct business review session and proactively giving solution to merchants in order to grow their business through consultative selling motion.
  • Determine the problems faced by merchants and help solve them, including those related to merchant spending, troubleshooting, document changes or adding new outlets, entities or brands.
  • Actively observe competitor movements and market movements.
  • Actively penetrate their areas by onboarding new merchants and always observing the area through canvassing days.
  • Actively support the city's focus projects (Merchant Partnership, Assortment, etc).
  • Ensure the submission and administration process (advertisements, promotions, changes to agreements, additional outlets) are on time, including complaints from merchants and also always submit to ASM and seek assistance from the right PIC.
  • Routinely attend training, socialize new products and develop skills.
  • What You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 2 years relevant experience with preferable industries: top 5 FMCG/Telecommunication/Tech company and preferably has spent significant time (>1 year) in representative area and has strong network and knowledge about the region will be a plus.
  • Good business sense and have good understanding of the markets, customers, and competitors.
  • Has existing relationship or able to bridge, develop, and maintain good relationship with key partner.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fact-based/number-oriented individual and able to interpret data to make data-driven decisions.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Willing to be placed anywhere in Gojek area of operations.
  • About the Team

    Account Executive (AE) will work as a team within a certain district and closely collaborate with the Merchant Engagement and Sales Support teams. Ideally, an AE regularly visits assigned merchants to see what really happened on the ground as well as provide necessary advice to them in increasing transactions over time.
