As an engineering leader in the Datacenter System Product Engineering team, this Director will be tasked with leading, growing and developing the Operations Engineering team responsible for NVIDIA’s DGX products and L11 Rack-Scale AI supercomputer reference systems. These systems are the most sophisticated computing platforms in the world for Artificial Intelligence and are the foundation upon which industry-leading LLMs are trained and delivered to consumers. This product family represents the company’s fastest growing line of business as well as its largest total available market opportunity. The successful candidate will apply their knowledge of Server architectures, CPU baseboards and high-speed interconnects in order to bring to market high availability solutions to augment existing Server architectures with GPU-accelerated clusters. This executive will be responsible for collaborating with the global Engineering organization throughout the entire development lifecycle to ensure the roadmap, design, feature sets, and processes are executable, scalable and manufacturable.
What you'll be doing:
Partner with the architecture, hardware, software and product engineering teams through the product development lifecycle for DGX products and L11 reference systems; taking a product concept and transforming it into a manufacturable and scalable system.
Drive the test methodology and diagnostic requirements for L11 rack scale AI systems to ensure the right balance of test coverage, time of ownership, and customer experience.
Design, implement, and institutionalize processes and procedures for L11 New Product Introduction (Documentation, Debug, F/A, Data Collection, Yield, Quality, Schedule, Test Enhancement, Product Modifications).
Assess new, unique, different, and difficult platform features and proactively address risk areas to ensure a smooth ramp from NPI into mass production.
Cultivate a deep understanding of NVIDIA’s hardware and software architectures; marrying that knowledge with server platform experience, and transforming NVIDIA into systems-level authorities.
Be the senior technical leader and systems-level voice for L11 across NVIDIA’s Operations, Engineering, and Executive teams; acting as a strong partner and influencer to ensure the best technologies and products are developed and taken to market.
Drive close engagement and partnership with firmware, software and diagnostic teams to ensure alignment of releases with L11 build requirements. Draw upon expertise and experience to make rapid tradeoff decisions and ensure smooth execution.
What we need to see:
Strong leadership, server expertise, technical savvy, management communication, and presentation skills with experience maintaining relationships with internal business customers at an executive level.
Proven builder, leader, developer of high-performing global teams.
Functional expertise of underlying system engineering and operational processes related to the end-to-end development of server platforms, and technical proficiency to implement these processes enterprise-wide.
Consistent track record of successfully delivering large, complex, and world-class server platforms (hardware and software) solutions to the global data center customer base.
Minimum of 15 overall years relevant experience including at least 5 years of senior management experience in large, cross-matrix, and geo-dispersed technology organizations focused in/around the server and data center space.
The finalist candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree or equivalent experience is highly desirable.

The base salary range is 264,000 USD - 402,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
