Engineering Manager - Sports (UK market)

We are looking for an Engineering Manager for a Sports Team. You will be managing a team of ~6 engineers and QA:s that work together with designers in a cross functional team. Together with the team, you are responsible for improving our Sportsbook experience in the UK market and ensure that we have the greatest igaming experience for Sports. By taking the lead in the team's daily work, setting and maintaining effective processes and ways of working, you will create value for our Sportsbook and ensure zero downtime.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

●        Take lead in the team's daily work and deliver a quality product to offer a customer first  Greatest Gaming Experience for Sports.

●        As a team effort, take ownership of the delivery of the product roadmap, and ensure best practice from a technical perspective.

●        Encourage a fun, healthy, collaborative engineering culture.

●        Continuously seek to improve both your product and ways of working in the team.

●        Inspire knowledge sharing and collaboration.

●        Inspire climate for new innovative ideas to the team (technology, features or ways of working).

●        Enable lean and data-driven ways of working to help the team deliver value efficiently.

●        Drive ways of working on agile principles

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

●        Solid engineering background, working at least 3+ years working as an engineer (frontend, backend or QA).

●        Experience in leading people and teams through goals, inspiration, transparency and trust.

●        Great communication skills and possess the ability to challenge the team when needed.

●        Solid understanding of the agile software development process.
 

NICE TO HAVES

●        Experience with JavaScript, Java, Kotlin or similar.
