Job Summary

Job Description

The IT Engineer will architect and implement enterprise technology solutions for studio and data center operations. This role involves working on complex IT projects independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities include managing enterprise hardware, forecasting and documenting datacenter usage, mentoring other IT staff, working with outsourcing partners, architecting and implementing highly available systems, crafting IT solutions, participating in incident response, ensuring system supportability, and participating in on-call rotation.
Must have:
  • Experience in IT systems design and implementation
  • Experience with Perforce management and support
  • Experience supporting build system tools like Jenkins
  • Experience managing enterprise storage solutions
  • Experience administrating both production and non-production environments
  • Experience managing virtual machine infrastructure
  • Experience with MEMCM in a multi-site environment
  • Experience with Ansible or other Configuration Management solutions
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps design philosophy
  • Familiarity with Container orchestration using Kubernetes
  • Familiarity operating in mixed Windows, MacOS and Linux environments
Good to have:
  • Enjoy playing video games
  • Experience with gaming-related technology
  • Familiarly with Server Clustering and high availability technologies
  • Experience designing and implementing networking solutions
  • Familiarity with IPAM, infrastructure monitoring, and dashboarding
  • Familiarity with ITIL Foundation concepts

Job Details

THE ROLE:   
We are looking for an IT Engineer to architect and implement enterprise technology solutions for studio and data center operations.

  • You are familiar with a hybrid cloud infrastructure
  • You can troubleshoot complex technical issues and quickly isolate problems
  • You are comfortable communicating complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
WHAT YOU WILL DO:   
  • Work both independently and as a member of a team on complex IT projects
  • Own the lifecycle management of enterprise hardware (servers, storage, backup, networking equipment, etc) in our datacenter and office sites
  • Forecast and document usage of datacenter compute, network, and storage to make recommendations on future growth Mentor other IT Engineers, System Administrators, and Helpdesk staff by providing high quality technical documentation and hands on mentorship
  • Work with our external outsourcing partners to securely provide them with access to our development systems
  • Architect and implement highly available systems on prem and/or in cloud to serve the internal studio and business needs
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to craft creative IT solutions for a wide variety of problem spaces
  • Work as an auxiliary team member of the Information Security team for incident response and mitigation
  • Ensure systems deployed are supportable at a production level by providing documentation and tooling for efficient operations
  • Participate in on-call rotation, and provide escalation support as needed for team members
QUALIFICATIONS:    
  • Experience in IT systems design and implementation preferably in a AAA game studio environment
  • Experience with Perforce management and support in a multi-site environment
  • Experience supporting build system tools such as Jenkins or Horde, DDC, SNDBS, Incredibuild, etc
  • Experience managing enterprise storage solutions, including both block and file level services
  • Experience administrating both production and non-production environments
  • Experience managing virtual machine infrastructure
  • Experience with MEMCM in a multi-site environment
  • Experience with Ansible or other Configuration Management solutions
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps design philosophy
  • Familiarity with Container orchestration using Kubernetes Familiarity operating in mixed Windows, MacOS and Linux environments

  • Familiarly with Server Clustering and other high availability technologies

Compensation:    
  • This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
