WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

At SimCorp, we support some of the biggest financial institutions in the world by simplifying their investments, accounting, and operations for smoother financial processes. Currently, SimCorp is transforming the way we deliver services to our clients.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead IT Project Manager to manage projects from scoping to execution on global IT projects together with colleagues from Group IT, business units, and local offices across the world.

You will be an integrated part of Group IT longer-term planning, architecture and design based on agreed strategies and application roadmap. It is therefore expected that you have a solid understanding of Information technology with focus on implementing applications. You may have a technical background or degree in Information Technology, and you have solid experience as an IT Project Manager within an international IT environment.

You will be part of a small but skilled community of practice with 4 other IT Project Managers in Group IT. Our projects vary from upgrades of existing applications, new infrastructure, implementation of new systems, InfoSec remediation, change management or a combination of it all.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Leading and executing global and cross-functional IT projects of various sizes, complexity, and duration
  • Build detailed plans with milestones, deliverables, and dependencies, track progress, and report obstacles
  • Effectively overseeing the scope, schedule, quality, funding, risks, challenges, and necessary actions
  • Cooperate with 3rd parties/external vendors to establish, maintain, and deliver according to a shared plan
  • Organize, prioritize, and delegate work. Motivate team members to meet project goals
  • Communication to different audiences across hierarchy levels, e.g. executives, Steering Committees, teams, vendors, users etc.
  • Act as a skilled sparring partner for stakeholders, team, and senior management

  • Experienced in managing IT projects within an international IT company, familiar with both waterfall and agile IT methodologies
  • A degree in Computer Science, Business Information Technology or similar
  • High execution power and drive to deliver on agreed strategies and roadmaps
  • Strategic mindset and proficient analytical skills with focus on business outcome and complete solutions
  • Adept at prioritizing tasks to ensure effective deadlines
  • Proficient collaboration skills across multiple levels and functions with both technical and business minded colleagues
  • Able to encourage and motivate teams and peers, and facilitate improvements across Group IT
  • You are structured and able to keep focus on several things, while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Collaborative and contributing to a good team spirit, working in a demanding environment
  • Advanced communication skills in English
