Job Summary:

About the Role & Program:

Disney Enterprise Financial Services is an expanding team of process experts and accounting professionals who provide accounting services to The Walt Disney Company. Our team supports our Corporate Real Estate partners to ensure proper accounting of lease holdings across all business segments.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from January 2025-June 2025.

What You Will Do...

As a Lease Accounting Graduate Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on:

  • Journal Entries

  • Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations

  • Accounting Research and Analysis

  • Accruals

  • Close Related Tasks

  • Lease Accounting Straight Line Schedules

  • SOX Compliance

  • Processing Invoices

  • Various other project work

Required Qualifications & Skills … 

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills (v and x- lookups, pivot tables)

  • The ability to build strong relationships in a highly professional “client service orientation” environment

  • Solid interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, partnering and customer service skills

  • Strong project management and multi-tasking abilities

  • Self-driven, independent thinker who is able to be flexible

  • Self-starter with a drive for process improvements and the ability to problem-solve

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience/exposure working with Power Apps (within Microsoft Suite)

  • Previous accounting internship and/or work experience

  • Working towards a CPA

Education:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

  • Currently pursuing and/or have graduated in the last 6 months with a master’s degree or PhD in Accounting and/or MBA

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization 

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program 

Additional Information:

  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025-June 2025.

  • This internship is located in the Orlando, FL area.

  • Candidate must be fully available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.

  • This internship is a primarily on-site position which will require a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace for the days you may work from home.

  • Able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, FL area

  • We provide limited housing opportunities for Florida Based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities, for more information
