We are seeking a motivated Localization Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Games Industry. This fast-paced role involves managing, optimizing, and automating localization processes. Responsibilities include localization file and tool management, process maintenance and automation, vendor and team collaboration, business intelligence, documentation, reporting, research & development, and client-facing engagement. A strong understanding of localization technologies, continuous improvement mindset, and collaborative spirit are essential. Experience with various file formats (.xml, .xliff, .json, csv, etc.), TMS and CAT tools, and APIs for TMS integration is required. Familiarity with AI, LLMs, and QA processes is also important.

Description

We are seeking a motivated Localization Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to work within the Games Industry, in a fast-paced environment, assisting with the management, optimization, and automation of localization processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of localization technologies, a passion for continuous improvement, and a desire to collaborate across departments and with external vendors.

  • Process Maintenance and Automation.
  • Vendor and Team Collaboration.
  • Business Intelligence, Documentation, and Reporting
  • Research & Development.
  • Client-Facing Engagement.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of programming languages and data management (e.g., JSON, VBA, XML).
  • Experience in manipulating various file formats: .xml, .xliff, .json, csv, etc.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with AI and LLM (Large Language Models) technologies.
  • Business Intelligence experience.
  • Hands-on experience with TMS and CAT tools (e.g., Phrase, MemoQ, SDL Trados Studio, Crowdin etc.).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the localization industry and its processes.
  • Familiarity with APIs for TMS integration.
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance (QA) processes.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the video game industry.
  • Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) for managing localization resources.
  • Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI) for continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Additional Technologies & Languages such as Python, and SQL, ETL.
