Maintenance Engineer

ABOUT YOU:
You are an enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
 

YOUR DAY-DAY:              

• • Provide front line support broadcast engineering and technical support for our Univision LA Operations.
• • Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on ENG and studio television
• equipment (including: cameras, HD video servers, HD video routers, non-linear edit systems,
• digital video switchers, commercial and News automation systems, ENG mobile vans, RF
• transmitters and receivers, terminal gear, audio console and microphones, Windows computers,
• and Apple computers.)
• • Perform equipment installation, wiring, crimping, and soldering for routine maintenance and new
• equipment.
• • Troubleshoot, on the component level, various analog & digital television equipment and
• computer systems.
• • The main duties for this position include supporting all broadcast systems and technology.
   

YOU HAVE:

• At least four years of experience in broadcast engineering.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in television studio maintenance.
• Strong understanding of newsroom and workflow computer systems.
• Extensive knowledge of Broadcast IT Networking.
• Knowledge and understanding of virtual/cloud environments.
• Strong IT skills, network setups, and troubleshooting.
• Desktop, server, and application support.
• Good verbal, written, and people skills plus working as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, edit, reach, and sit for up to (8) hours.
• Ability to lift weights to 50 lbs., and work in tight spaces (equipment racks and ENG vehicles).

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. 

Salary Range: $55.99- $70.28 hourly + benefits
