Colliers is a global diversified professional services and investment management company seeking an enterprising and results-driven Business Development Manager for its Business Valuation team. The role involves partnering with the revenue-producing team to develop and harvest new business opportunities in Hong Kong and across the Asia region. Responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business for business valuation services (e.g., IPO, merger & acquisition, financial reporting), developing outreach strategies, preparing proposals, collaborating with internal teams, staying updated on industry trends, and maintaining a prospect pipeline. Professionals with a solid financial services foundation and proven business development track record are encouraged to apply.
Must have:
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Client work with listed companies, financial institutions, law firms.
  • Strong understanding of IPO processes and financial instruments.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and close deals.
  • Competent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
  • Able to work independently.

Job Detail

We are seeking an enterprising and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our Business Valuation team. This role is responsible for partnering with our revenue producing team by developing and harvesting new business opportunities in Hong Kong and across the Asia region.  Professionals with solid foundation in financial services and a proven track record in business development will thrive in this position.

 

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities for business valuation services, including but not limited to IPO (Initial Public Offering), merger & acquisition, financial reporting, etc.
  • Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to effectively connect with and qualify potential clients
  • Prepare business proposals, pitch materials, and client engagement documentation to showcase Colliers’ valuation capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal valuation professionals to deliver service offerings fulfilling client requirements.
  • Remain abreast of industry trends and regulatory developments related to IPOs and capital markets.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and provide regular updates to senior management.

Qualifications

  • University degree or above holder in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in professional services firm, backgrounds in financial advisory, audit, or banking industry will be an advantage. Candidates with more experience will be considered for Senior Manager / Associate Director.
  • Solid track record of working with clients from listed companies, financial institutions and/or law firms
  • Strong understanding of IPO processes and financial instruments.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and close business deals through business development
  • Competent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with strong sense in business acumen
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
