Job Description

Directs and coordinates production activities through subordinate supervisory personnel, utilizing knowledge of product technology, production methods, and equipment capabilities. Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budgets and cost controls, and obtains data on product specifications and delivery dates. Plans and oversees production, setting priorities for efficient operations and cost-effectiveness. Coordinates with procurement, maintenance, and quality control for optimal utilization of resources. Reviews operational reports to identify causes of nonconformity and problems, developing methods to improve quality and eliminate issues. Revises schedules due to equipment failure or operational challenges and consults with engineering on machine modifications.

FOX Factory designs, engineers, manufactures and markets performance-defining products and systems for customers worldwide. Position Summary:

Directs and coordinates, through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with production of company product(s), utilizing knowledge of product technology, production methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

·       Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.

  • Plans and oversees production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
  • Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.
  • Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
  • Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
  • Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products
  • May compile, store, and retrieve production data.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Exceptional leadership and management skills
  • Strong manufacturing knowledge

Position Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business, manufacturing, engineering or related field preferred

Experience: 

5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly management 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Manufacturing Environment

May lift up to 50 lbs. 

Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
