Job Description

The Member of Technical Staff will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality design and code, as well as documentation for DO-178 certification. They will investigate and resolve issues, participate in Agile development, and work on projects delivering mission-critical, robust, and deterministic Real-Time Operating Systems for applications in industries like aerospace and automotive. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to learn new technologies quickly.
Must have:
  • 5-7 years of software development experience.
  • Strong analytical skills in the C programming language.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent programming skills using Python and Linux shells scripts.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience with RTOS software development a plus.
  • Experience with Virtualization is advantageous.
  • ARM/Intel/RISC-V SoC Experience is a plus.

Within the Wind River Operating System team, we work on projects that deliver mission critical, robust, and deterministic Real Time Operation Systems suitable for a wide variety of mission critical applications including the aerospace and automotive industry.  We are looking for experienced and high-performing individuals that can learn and contribute to these technologies.
 
Who You Will Work With: 
The successful candidate will join a highly skilled "Helix Virtualization Platform" development team delivering mission critical Real-Time Operating System for avionics and automotive applications. 
 
Responsibilities: 
Develop and deliver high quality design and code. 
Develop and deliver high quality documentation used for DO-178 certification evidence.
Ability to review DO-178 artifacts and provide guidance to conform to Certification standards
Investigate and resolve issues reported during product verification and customer integration. 
Participate in all aspects of the software development process using Agile development. 
 
Qualifications/Skills: 
BSc / MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree).   
5-7 years of relevant technical experience in software development.  
Strong analytical skills in the C programming language.  
ability to obtain NSA clearance
Excellent written and oral communication skills.   
Excellent programming skills using Python and Linux shells scripts.   
Strong analytical and debugging skills.   
Experience with RTOS software development a plus.   
Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative environments.   
Self-managed, fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies.  
Familiarity with iterative and agile/scrum software development processes.  
Certification experience is a plus. 
ARM/Intel/RISC-V SoC Experience is a plus. 
Experience with Virtualization is advantageous.

Security Clearance Requirements  
Successful candidates must engage in a security clearance process in regards to their citizenship in order to perform fundamental job duties, as per applicable law.
