Key responsibilities include collecting and verifying employee information (life insurance, flexible compensation, allowances), reviewing payroll, ensuring compliance with German regulations (HGB, social insurance, income tax, labor law), distributing tax forms, managing salary approvals, and overseeing flexible compensation and attendance systems. The position also involves handling new hires/leavers, managing invoices and purchase orders, liaising with auditors, accident mutuals and the prevention service, organizing medical check-ups and coordinating with third parties for temporary contracts.

Hasbro SA, based in Delemont Switzerland, manufactures and sells Hasbro toy and games products around the world. Hasbro European Trading BV ('HET') is Hasbro SA’s distributor in Europe, which sells to Hasbro SA’s customers in all major European countries.  Hasbro International Trading BV ('HIT') is Hasbro SA's distributor for FOB sales in Europe  Hasbro Deutschland GmbH ('the Company') provides sales, marketing and other services to HET and HIT in Germany.

This role covers Payroll and Benefits for Germany and will be responsible for managing various payroll tasks, including collecting and verifying information in all employee related matters, like e.g. life insurance, flexible compensation, telework-, public transport-, car allowances, company cars, and employee status changes. You will review payroll, prepare transfer information, and ensure compliance with German HGB, social insurance-, income tax and labor law regulations. Additionally, you will handle the distribution of annual tax forms and manage salary approvals. The role involves overseeing the flexible compensation platform, attendance control system, and maintaining employee benefits such as health and life insurance. You will also coordinate the hiring and termination processes, manage invoices and purchase orders, and liaise with auditors and accident mutuals. You will also organize medical check-ups for employees and ensure effective communication between the prevention service and the company.

 

Specific Responsibilities/ Tasks:

 

Pension Schemes Management

 

    • New Hires
    • Leavers
    • Salary and Bonus Changes
    • Key Dates: Jan 1st, July 1st and Oct 1st of each year.
    • UVA (Unverfallbarkeitsbescheinigungen)
    • Annual Statement Reports for all collective and mandatory pension schemes for DC Soest and Neu Isenburg employees.
    • Divorse Statements for company pension scheme entitlements of active or former employees

 

Payroll

  • Variables: Collect information on meal vouchers, life insurance, in-kind salary, flexible compensation, telework allowance, new hires/departures, and variations.
  • Review Payroll.
  • Cross-check List: Generate a list from SF and cross-check with payroll data, verify it.
  • Prepare information for transfers, send accounting to SSC before the end of each month.
  • Distribute form 145 to all personnel for the annual data declaration, follow up on receipt.
  • Send withholding forms to all employees. Points 1 to 5 are performed monthly, points 6 and 7 annually.
  • Salary/Seniority approval requests.
  • Update in-kind salary, life insurance, vehicle, health insurance.
  • Manage with third party the hiring and termination of temporary and permanent intermittent contracts. New hires/departures, severance pay, etc.
  • Maintenance and management of the flexible compensation platform, nursery voucher, health insurance.
  • Maintenance and management of the attendance control platform.
  • Manage POs and invoices.
  • Contact and send information to Auditors and E&Y.
  • Liaison between Accident Mutual and Hasbro.
  • Control and follow-up of subsidies.
  • Employee assistance, events, etc.

 

Prevention Service:

  • Liaison between the prevention service and Hasbro.
  • Organize medical check-ups for the two work centers.

 

Competencies, Qualifications & Knowledge

  • English and German fluent language
  • Familiarity with labour laws and regulations, especially those related to payroll and benefits (Income Tax and Social Insurance Law)
  • Proven experience in payroll management and HR Administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data management and reporting.
