Summary

This role is a Payroll Specialist focusing on Brazil and Mexico. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day payroll administration, processing payroll according to legal regulations (IMSS, ISR, Ley Federal del Trabajo), performing accounting journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with payroll policies, and identifying areas for improvement. The position requires managing bonus requests, overtime, relocation packages, expenses, loans, and deductions; maintaining accurate payroll information; resolving discrepancies; providing information to stakeholders; and preparing reports for the Finance department. Compliance with payroll tax and government regulations is crucial. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll in Brazil and Mexico and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Project description

Manage day to day Payroll administration for Brazil and Mexico market. Responsible for processing payroll on time and legal regulations (IMSS, ISR and Ley Federal del Trabajo). Maintain the performance of all payrolls related accounting journal entries and reconciliations, and compliance with all payroll related policies and procedures. Responsible for identifying and implementing areas of improvement in the payroll area, leading initiatives for systems and productivity improvements, strategic alliances with Human Resources, Accounting, LOBs, and other functional areas impacted. Responsible for compliance with payroll tax and other related regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare the semi-monthly payroll for all Brazil and MX companies. Managing the process of all bonus requests, overtime, relocation packages, expenses, loans and deductions.

Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.

Validation of correct calculation for payroll

Maintain correct vacation accruals

Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, and savings deductions.

Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.

Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.

Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping confidential information.

Provide timely reports to the Finance department.

Assist with reconciling payroll sub-ledger to the general ledger.

Prepare remitting payroll taxes and government reporting.

Monitor and audit as needed the employee records in the HRIS sy
