Flying Bark Productions is working on exciting projects such as Avatar: The Last Airbender feature film, Netflix's Stranger Things animated series, as well as our production Tales From Outer Suburbia by Shaun Tan.
The Production Assistant will be responsible for assisting the production crew across a number of scheduled and ad hoc tasks.
About the role:
- Assisting the Producer and Production Crew with production related matters as required;
- Particularly assisting the Line Producers, Production Manager, and Production Coordinators with various tasks;
- Managing the prep required for teams ahead of each sequence;
- Assisting co-ordinators with ingest and delivery related tasks, and prepping Syncsketch sessions when required;
- Taking notes in meetings as required
- Assist with preparing & running voice records, including preparing scripts and trackers, logging takes for the Edit team, organising catering, and ingest of deliverables from studios;
- Managing crew admin with Line Producer, including new starter paperwork, managing mailing lists and calendar invites, crew birthday emails, timesheet reminders, showreel requests, etc;
- Assist with project-specific Front of House duties, like welcoming new starter or external visitors when back in the office, preparing meeting rooms, getting drinks for clients, clearing meeting rooms, etc;
- Assist with organizing in-house team activities when back in the office;
- Attending meetings as necessary, as well as taking and distributing notes to the appropriate parties;
- Assist with updating the Wiki and other production related documents when advised by the Production Manager or Producer;
And all other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by the Production Company.
About you:
- The ability to deal with confidential information and material in a discreet and professional manner at all times;
- High level organisational skills - experience in administration and managing files, producing and formatting documents and updating spreadsheets;
- Excellent diary management skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Excel knowledge to an advanced level and Microsoft Office skills;

- Meticulous attention to detail;
- The ability to work to deadlines;
- An in depth awareness and understanding of and respect for the creative process in the realm of Animation;
- Experience in scripting and voice record process a plus;
- Be available, proactive and a problem solver;
- Flexible approach and able to take on extra tasks when required.
