If you are able to commit to a minimum of 5 days per month and have experience on the Q400 aircraft, this role is one to consider.

CAE, a leader in aviation training is looking to rapidly increase our On-Call Simulator Instructor Team at our Commercial Aviation Training Center in Toronto (Mississauga).

Responsibilities include:

  • •Instructor (Simulator and IPT)
    •Provide instruction for initial, transition, upgrade and recurrent flight training in accordance with FAA, Transport Canada and Company policies and procedures
    •Ensure that all required training and/or checks are properly documented
    •Maintain proficiency as an Instructor as required by 14 CFR 142
    •Promote crew resource management (CRM) principles
    •Monitor and assist with administrative programs in all areas of flight training as required
    •Typed (ATPL) on  the Q400
    •FAA and/or TC ATPL License with Q400 type rating is required
    •Must be able to commit 5 days per month minimum to CAE
    •Above average presentation and interpersonal skills
    •Above average communication skills, both verbal and written
    •Ability to work flexible hours which can include: mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends
    •Experience as a simulator instructor or flight instructor an asset
    •Local applicants are highly preferred and applicants willing and able to relocate.
