Introducing Our Team (Project)

Since 2021, KRAFTON has identified deep learning as a new area to expand our game production capabilities and a field for continuous new challenges. We are focusing on research in this area and actively investing, including recruiting key talent, to accelerate its development.

[Deep Learning Division Vision]

KRAFTON's Deep Learning Division collaborates with various internal and external fields to provide AI solutions for diverse problems and develops our own services through proprietary deep learning technology research. There are two main directions:

• Developing deep learning technologies to aid game production, thereby increasing game production efficiency and universality.
• Developing CPC (Character Playable Character) that can play games with users.

[GenAI Research R&D]

The Deep Learning Division is researching and developing Generative AI models necessary for deep learning technologies such as Language Model, Voice Synthesis, and Vision & Animation, which are required for the above vision. In particular, we are focusing on Multimodal LLM/modeling research that effectively encompasses these and freely combines each elemental technology. These technologies are integrated into the actual game production environment to innovate the game production workflow and expand creativity.

Members of the Deep Learning Division can interact and collaborate with team members from various fields through diverse projects and propose creative ideas for various problems. An atmosphere that encourages free expression of opinions regardless of age or position is fostered. Teams are formed by individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, and methods to overcome language barriers, such as interpretation and translation, are actively supported for lively communication.

[Applied DL Research - GenAI Team]

As a Research Scientist in the GenAI Research Team, your responsibilities will include:

• Applied research to explore and improve the performance of various Generative deep learning models.
• Research on multi-modal LLMs that can be utilized in game agents such as CPC.
• Understanding and implementing the latest deep learning papers in the GenAI field.

We want to grow with someone who has these experiences! (Required Qualifications)

• Master's/Ph.D. degree or equivalent research experience in a deep learning-related field.
• Experience writing papers for top-tier AI/ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, etc.) or related top-tier journals.
• Ability to lead research, quickly understand deep learning papers, and design experiments.
• Development or project experience related to the latest deep learning models such as Transformer, Diffusion.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new domains.
• Smooth work communication skills.
• No disqualification for overseas travel.

If you have these experiences, you are the one we are looking for! (Preferred Qualifications)

• Excellent research achievements related to Generative Modeling and Multi-modal LLM.
