The Safety Foundation team aspires to scale our commitment to safety by building internal platforms and systems that act as a force multiplier for every team driving safety outcomes.

You will own the vision, strategy, and execution for a critical portfolio of enterprise-grade tools used by engineering, product, operations, ML, and policy teams across the company. These platform capabilities sit at the heart of moderation, trust, and global operations enabling us to move fast without compromising on safety.

You will define and build highly technical systems that serve as the backbone of content and behavioral moderation. The technology you build will touch everything from asset moderation to ML labeling platforms to workforce orchestration and moderation analytics. Your work will directly enable us to uphold our safety promise for a global community while scaling efficiently across billions of interactions, assets, and players.

This role reports to the Director of Product Management, Safety, and requires you to be at HQ 3 days/week.

What You’ll Do

• Define and own the long-term vision for internal safety platforms that support moderation of assets, social interactions, and community behavior.
• Build robust tools that empower engineering, policy, and operations teams to identify, triage, act on, and prevent abuse at global scale.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to build:
• Moderation pipelines and escalation tooling
• ML labeling workflows
• Workforce management systems and operational analytics
• Drive platform capabilities that support automation, human moderation, and safety controls for every feature team.
• Collaborate deeply across engineering, data science, design, policy, ops, and feature PMs to understand emerging product features, risks and rapidly build tools to address them.
• Continuously raise the bar on performance, usability, scalability, and observability of the internal tools ecosystem.
• Define and measure platform KPIs that go beyond just tool usage and reflect speed, product, business and safety outcomes.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of hands-on product management experience, with at least 3 years leading technical or platform products.
• A track record of delivering enterprise-grade tools or platforms used internally by technical teams (e.g., moderation platforms, dev tools, ML ops, analytics infra, data platforms).
• A strong technical foundation that enables you to dive deep with product development, policy, operations etc. and reason about trade-offs in large-scale systems, and own cross-org architectural decisions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to bring clarity and align cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proven ability to drive adoption and behavioral change across internal teams by delivering tools that are scalable, intuitive, and reliable.
• Empathy for the operational, policy, and human aspects of safety and high judgment to build a platform that empowers both human decision-making and automation.
• Experience working in user-generated content, trust & safety, or integrity-related domains is a strong plus.

For roles that are based at our headquarters: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range

$275,030—$324,450 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
