We are looking for a Senior Specialist in our Fintech Platform Operations organization, responsible for ensuring the highest customer happiness possible for services delivered to our Cloud customers. As a senior member of the team covering Tier2 and Tier3 operational activities and collaborating with other members of the Platform Operations team distributed worldwide, you will ensure contractual SLAs are met, efficient standard methodologies are built and adhered to, knowledge within the team is maintained and up to date, partner concerns are given the right level of attention, and operations staff are provided with optimal environments to perform their work. You will need to think strategically about the overall business, review end-to-end processes and give to defining groundbreaking projects that will mature the Adenza cloud services organizations into a best-in-class provider, collaborating and working multi-functionally with teams across Nasdaq Fintech division including R&D, security, product support, and customer delivery.

What you will do

  • Provide a technical partner concern point for critical production issues and drive partner concern/resolution of problems to Support and Engineering teams
  • Facilitate planning and execution of disaster recovery tests and other BCP activities
  • Actively participate in the execution and evolution of Incident management and knowledge management processes
  • Drive the culture of “security first” and continuous improvements
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team
  • Identify, design and implement technical and process improvements to improve service delivery metrics.

What We Expect

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field 
  • 8-12 years of relevant professional industry experience in managing 24x7x365 mission-critical environments
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-focus mindset
  • Open-minded and able to think out of the box to come up with creative and innovative solutions/processes
  • Good understanding of ITSM processes and department-level KPI reporting
  • Expert level knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VLAN, VPN, HTTP(S), and SSH
  • Expert level knowledge of Various Linux distros and Windows administration
  • Experience of containerized architecture principles and associated operational processes
  • Understanding Java J2EE applications, JVM tuning, JConsole, JMX, and other Java tools. 
  • Experience with application streaming technologies (Citrix)
  • Expert level knowledge of IBM MQ or Other JMS services
  • Familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS
  • Desirable: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification 
  • Current experience with terraform, bash or python scripting
  • Desirable: AWS, Azure, OCI certifications
