Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be an adaptable, innovative, and composed individual influencing Nasdaq's journey to become the Trusted Fabric of the financial system. You will balance requests, manage the inflow of initiatives, and master resource management for effective project staffing and timely delivery. Collaborating with partners to create unified roadmaps, communicating effectively, and proactively problem-solving are crucial responsibilities. You will also oversee portfolio management, resource planning, and product roadmap content. This includes generating insights, optimizing resource allocation, orchestrating project vision, and ensuring stakeholder alignment. You'll be expected to navigate organizational hierarchies, manage multiple projects, and think creatively to optimize firm outcomes.

Bring your extensive portfolio management experience to the forefront, balancing requests and managing the inflow of initiatives with finesse. Master resource management to ensure projects are staffed effectively and delivered on time. Collaborate with partners to craft a unified roadmaps that align various stakeholders toward common goals. Communicate effectively to keep everyone informed, even when the news isn't favorable; foster transparency, build trust, and enable proactive problem-solving.

  • Oversee portfolio management: Responsible for balancing requests and managing the inflow of initiatives to ensure alignment with Nasdaq's strategic goals.
    • Performing analyses with various data inputs is crucial to identify trends, assess performance, and make informed decisions.
    • Generating meaningful insights for leadership helps in strategic planning and ensures that initiatives are aligned with the overall objectives of the organization.
  • Effective resource planning: Optimize resource allocation and planning to ensure projects are loaded for success.
    • Validating productivity assumptions is crucial to ensure that the resources are being utilized effectively and that the project is on track.
    • Mastering details across truly global teams is essential to manage the complexities of working with diverse teams in different locations and time zones.
    • Identifying potential issues early and making informed decisions to keep the project on schedule
  • Orchestrate product roadmap content: Steering projects’ vision, goals, and resource-driven timelines, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned with the comprehensive direction.
  • Messaging across various stakeholder groups: Implement tiered messaging strategies to communicate effectively with different stakeholder groups, ensuring that key messages are tailored to the audience's needs and understanding
    • Collect granular detail to generate accurate snapshots of portfolio make-up, key milestones & progress metrics, and varying strategic insights.
    • Providing team leader views / detailed insights into team performance, challenges, and achievements; fostering collaboration and transparency among team members
  • Navigate up and down hierarchies: Ensure alignment and collaboration across different levels of the organization.
  • Prioritize and balance a large workload: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that priorities are aligned with Nasdaq's objectives. Think creatively to develop innovative solutions that address complex challenges and optimize firm outcomes.

  • Mastery of project management methodologies and best practices: Apply PMI standards and methodologies, including PMP, Agile, and Scrum, to drive project excellence in technology projects. Utilize project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Jira to optimize resource allocation, track progress, and facilitate effective communication among cross-functional teams. Implement best practices in risk management, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement to deliver commitments.
  • Proven experience in portfolio management: Demonstrated ability to balance requests &  initiative inflows with competing strategic initiatives & resource constraints.
  • Strong resource management skills: Expertise in optimizing resource allocation to ensure project success.
  • Exceptional communication abilities: Ability to communicate effectively across stakeholder groups, and ability to tier messaging to different audiences.
  • Expertise in navigating organizational hierarchies: Demonstrable ability to ensure alignment and collaboration across different levels of the organization.
  • Mastery of various project management methodologies and certifications: PMP, Agile, Scrum, and other relevant certifications.
  • Excellent prioritization and workload balancing skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders: Proven track record of managing large-scale projects with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Leadership experience in a technical environment: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment: Ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships: Ability to foster collaboration and build strong working relationships.
  • Education Required:  Bachelor degree or Masters’ qualified in Computer Science or related discipline, or relevant and proven project delivery success.
  • Experience Required:  At least 8 years 

This position can be located in Philadelphia or Denver, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 2 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $99,600 - $166,100. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
