As a Senior Specialist in Parts Logistics, you will analyze operations and supply chain flows for parts distribution, focusing on inbound logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, and outbound delivery. Your role involves identifying inefficiencies, reducing lead times, and uncovering cost-saving opportunities through data-driven process improvements and strategic sourcing. You will assess warehouse operations for layout optimization, labor efficiency, and throughput improvement, implementing solutions to enhance productivity and support growth. Responsibilities include standardizing processes with warehouse teams, managing relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure service level compliance and cost-effectiveness, and collaborating cross-functionally with procurement, sales, operations, and finance to align logistics strategies with business goals. You will also prepare and present data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, develop supply chain risk mitigation strategies, conduct root cause analysis on performance issues, and support the implementation of transportation and warehouse management systems.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Operations Research, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, or network definition roles.
  • Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution strategies.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Analyze operations and supply chain flows for parts distribution, including inbound logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, and outbound delivery, to identify inefficiencies, reduce lead times, and uncover cost-saving opportunities through data-driven process improvements and strategic sourcing.
  • Assess warehouse operations to identify opportunities for layout optimization, labor efficiency, and throughput improvement by analyzing material flow, storage utilization, equipment placement, and workforce allocation; implement data-driven solutions to enhance productivity, reduce handling time, and support scalable growth in automotive parts distribution.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to standardize processes and improve KPIs such as order accuracy, pick rates, and dock-to-stock time.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and other logistics partners to ensure service level compliance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with operational goals; monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), lead regular performance reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery reliability, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams—including procurement, sales, operations, and finance—to align logistics strategies with broader business goals; ensure seamless
  • integration of supply chain initiatives with company objectives, support cross-departmental planning, and drive unified execution of logistics improvements.
  • Prepare and present data-driven insights, interactive dashboards, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, leveraging advanced analytics and visualization tools to support decision-making, highlight performance trends, and drive continuous improvement across logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Develop and maintain supply chain risk mitigation strategies, including contingency planning for disruptions in transportation, supplier delays, and inventory shortages to ensure business continuity.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on logistics performance issues and implement corrective actions to improve service levels, reduce freight claims, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Support the implementation of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to improve visibility, automate workflows, and enhance coordination across the supply chain network.

 

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina.
  • The responsibilities of this role require 3-4 days attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly. 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $120,000.00 - $135,000.00
