Job Description

As a Software Engineer for ByteDance's Multi-Cloud CDN, you'll design, develop, and optimize the Multi-Cloud CDN platform. This includes developing systems for configuration management, data analysis, content management, and scheduling. You'll support the development of the Multi-Cloud CDN scheduling system (DNS, SDK, 302, and HTTPDNS scheduling), and build an intelligent scheduling system to optimize global traffic management. You'll focus on improving platform performance and reliability, ensuring efficient business access and flexible scheduling strategies for TikTok's global traffic.

Must have:

Design and develop Multi-Cloud CDN architecture
Develop and optimize CDN systems
Support CDN scheduling system development
Build intelligent scheduling system
Improve CDN platform performance and reliability
Proficiency in C/C++, Go, Python, Java, or PHP
Understanding of network protocols, storage, message queues

Good to have:

CDN system design and development experience
In-depth understanding of CDN working principles

As a Software Engineer for ByteDance's Multi-Cloud CDN, you will be responsible for the architecture design, R&D, and continuous optimization of our Multi-Cloud CDN platform. This includes developing and optimizing systems for configuration management, data analysis, content management, and scheduling. Your work will ensure efficient business access and support flexible and configurable scheduling strategies to optimize TikTok's global traffic management. Responsibilities: 1. Assist in designing and developing the architecture of the Multi-Cloud CDN middle platform solution. 2. Contribute to the development and optimization of systems such as configuration management, data analysis, content management, and scheduling within the Multi-Cloud CDN platform. 3. Support the development of the Multi-Cloud CDN scheduling system, covering DNS, SDK, 302, and HTTPDNS scheduling. 4. Help construct an intelligent scheduling system to optimize global traffic management based on business scenarios, resource levels, cost control, service quality, and transmission protocols. 5. Continuously assist in improving the performance and reliability of the Multi-Cloud CDN platform.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics and communication, mathematics, physics, or related fields. 2. Proficiency in one or two programming languages such as C/C++, Go, Python, Java, or PHP in a Linux environment. 3. Basic technical foundation with experience in API/platform design and a good understanding of network protocols, storage, and message queues. Strong communication skills, execution ability, and teamwork spirit. Preferred Requirements: 1. Experience in CDN system design and development. 2. In-depth understanding of CDN working principles. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $137750 - $237500 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).​
