Job Description

As a Sr. Engineer at Optiv, you will be responsible for user and group management, implementing security policies, configuring SSO, integrating applications, managing user lifecycles, utilizing the Okta API, and troubleshooting issues. You will work on tasks such as creating, managing, and deleting users and groups, assigning roles and permissions, implementing MFA, configuring and managing SSO for various applications, automating user provisioning, and utilizing the Okta API. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, and experience with various security products.

How you’ll make an impact

  • User and Group Management: Creating, managing, and deleting users and groups. Assigning roles and permissions to users and groups. Understanding user attributes and their impact on access. 

  • Security Policies: Implementing and enforcing security policies, such as password policies and sign-on policies. Leveraging Okta's security policy framework to strengthen security posture. 
    Understanding and implementing MFA and adaptive authentication. Single Sign-On (SSO) and

  • Federation: Configuring and managing SSO for various applications.  Understanding different federation protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth).  Managing user access to applications through Okta. 

  • Application Integration: Integrating applications with Okta for SSO and user provisioning. 
    Understanding different application types and their integration requirements.  Automating user provisioning and deprovisioning. 

  • User Lifecycle Management: Managing user lifecycles, including onboarding, offboarding, and role changes.  Understanding and implementing user provisioning and deprovisioning workflows. 

  • Okta API: Using the Okta API to automate tasks and integrate with other systems.  Understanding API authentication and authorization. 

  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues related to Okta configuration and functionality.  Understanding Okta logs and troubleshooting tools. 

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree College degree or equivalent required

  • 5-8 years Professional experience in the Information Security field and within discipline required

  • 5-8 years Advanced information security knowledge in one or more areas to include: Okta, Sailpoint, Site Minder

  • Understanding of network architecture and implementation is a must; ideal candidate will have worked with network security analysis.

  • Excellent time management, reporting, and communication skills. Superior IT problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems

  • An understanding of a wide array of server grade applications such as: DBMS, Exchange, DNS, SMTP, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, Active Directory, Identity Management, Patch Management, LDAP, SQL, and others

  • Experience with various SIEM security products such as: ArcSight, QRadar, Nitro, Splunk, LogRhythm and infrastructure components such as proxies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP etc.

  • Ready to relocate to Bangalore

  • This team provides 24/7 support and Work from Office role
