The Technology Project Management Intern will take part in the configuration and deployment of end-user hardware on the Disney Destiny. The position will be involved from the original hardware configuration to the final onboard deployment and exposed to many ship building milestones. The individual will provide technical project management skills to help ensure a smooth handover from the project team to operations, and assist scheduling priority spaces, communicate with stakeholders, oversee loading of equipment, provide leadership updates, and guide offload activities.
This role will be fully on-site in Uplengen and Papenburg, Germany.
Responsibilities:
Gain exposure to end-user configuration tools that allow concurrent configuration of hundreds of devices at the same time
Deepen knowledge of technical writing by documenting processes and tools
Working autonomously under a mentor's guidance to complete specific scopes within the broader extent of the technology part of the project, including assisting with scheduling priority spaces and downstream dependencies
Support the collection of daily data and updates in a rapidly evolving environment for leadership reports and dashboards
Help with coordinating and managing logistical tasks, including organizing shipments, handling inventory, scheduling deliveries, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials or resources to meet operational needs
Basic Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Comfortable and eager to work in a fast-paced environment with demanding timelines
Creative problem solving and remediation skills
Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders as well as senior leadership
Curiosity to learn and being a self-starter
Valid driver’s license with authorization to drive in Germany
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in the cruise line or construction industry
Required Education:
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher, or graduated within the past 12 months, from an accredited college/university, earning a degree majoring in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Project Management or similar field or related work experience
