Job Description

This Account Executive role at Google focuses on mid-market sales within the Google Customer Solutions team. Responsibilities include exceeding quarterly business goals, managing a portfolio of medium and large businesses, developing multi-quarter growth plans, pitching and consulting with clients on digital marketing strategies, driving customer growth through outstanding sales experiences, and establishing credibility with executives to optimize advertising investment. The role requires fluency in English and Dutch to manage client relationships in the Netherlands. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales, communication, and analytical skills, along with experience in digital advertising and performance marketing.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years advertising/sales/business development/IT experience (or 3 years with advanced degree)
  • Fluent English and Dutch
  • Achieve ambitious growth goals
  • Manage client portfolio and growth plans
  • Consult on digital marketing strategies
Good to have:
  • Experience with digital advertising campaigns
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Dutch fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling and promoting.
  • Experience in managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Netherlands and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Excellent thought leadership skills and high executive functioning within the digital marketing space.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Own a portfolio of medium and large size businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support annual digital marketing discussions and budgets.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Establish credibility with executives and serve as a trusted partner to optimize and expand their advertising investment.
