Onward Search is seeking an Administrative Specialist II for an on-site, 24-month contract role in New Hill, North Carolina, with a leading energy services company. The role involves supporting the Grid Services team by coordinating training operations, managing logistics for instructors, facilities, meals, and vendors, and facilitating new hire onboarding. Responsibilities include managing training records via an LMS, developing training communications, organizing logistics for events like linemen rodeos, and maintaining a safe training environment. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of administrative experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong organizational and communication skills, and a customer service mindset.

In this role, you’ll support the Grid Services team by coordinating training operations, managing logistics, and facilitating onboarding activities. This opportunity is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution.

Administrative Specialist II Responsibilities:

  • Manage training records and coordinate scheduling using the Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Coordinate logistics for training including instructors, facilities, meals, lodging, and vendor relations.

  • Support new hire onboarding: schedule training, distribute PPE and tools, ensure compliance.

  • Develop and distribute wide-reaching training communications and status reports.

  • Organize and execute logistics for local and international linemen rodeos.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional training environment.

Administrative Specialist II Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of administrative experience.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Customer service mindset with ability to multitask effectively.

  • Experience with databases, SharePoint, and Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone preferred).
