Position Overview
The Senior Atlassian Administrator at Zelis India, Hyderabad, will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of the Atlassian suite of products for both Cloud and Datacenter Atlassian environments, including Jira, Confluence, and other related tools. This role will ensure optimal performance, availability, and functionality of the Atlassian environment, while also contributing to process improvements and solutions for business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Administration and Configuration: Manage and administer Atlassian tools, ensuring they are configured to meet the needs of the organization. This includes user management, workflows, custom fields, permissions, screen schemes, and other configurations.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular system maintenance, upgrades, and patches to ensure the stability and security of the Atlassian environment.
- Monitor Performance: Continuously monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system configurations to ensure optimal performance.
- Integration: Integrate Atlassian tools with other systems and tools used within the organization to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
- User Support and Training: Provide support to end-users, including troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and providing training and documentation as needed.
- Best Practices and Standards: Establish and enforce best practices and standards for using Atlassian tools within the organization. This includes creating and maintaining documentation, guidelines, and procedures.
- Project Management: Work closely with project managers and teams to understand requirements and implement solutions using Atlassian tools. This includes customizing workflows, dashboards, and reports to support project management needs.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and provide solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to Atlassian tools and bring innovative ideas and solutions to the organization.
- Security Compliance: Ensure that the Atlassian environment complies with security policies and procedures, including data privacy and protection standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience administering and configuring Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence
- Technical Skills: Strong technical skills and experience with scripting and automation using tools such as Groovy, Python, or Bash.
- Certification: Atlassian certification(s) is highly desirable.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies and tools, including Agile and Scrum.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and foster a positive and productive working environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology, or a related field.
