Job Description

This Business Development Consultant role at Google focuses on new business sales, requiring fluency in English and Japanese. Responsibilities include educating new customers on Google advertising solutions, cultivating sales leads, securing new clients, developing business strategies, and working with C-level executives to understand their needs and set expectations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in business, marketing, consulting, or a related field and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Success in this role requires the ability to pitch advertising solutions, understand client needs, and create effective ad campaigns to maximize returns. The role involves working with a team to achieve sustainable growth for Google's clients.
Must have:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in business, marketing, consulting, or another relevant field.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently in order to interact with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building a book of business, ensuring the management and fulfillment of goals, and developing associated agreements.
  • Experience in sales in the internet advertising industry.
  • Ability to take initiative, be comfortable with ambiguity, and succeed in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to understand the client's agenda, organize their needs, and propose the appropriate solution.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to pitch advertising solutions over video conference or in person to prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Work with new customers to educate them on how to align their business goals to sustainable Google advertising solutions.
  • Cultivate a pipeline of value prospects for growth and sustainability.
  • Secure new Google Ads clients by presenting marketing solutions, and create relevant ad campaigns that maximize their returns.
  • Develop business strategies that optimize the market potential.
  • Work with C-level customers to understand their business needs and set appropriate data-backed expectations.
