Job Description

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction for the streaming data processing engine and hands-on implementation. You will practice engineering best practices, work closely with team members, identify priorities, and contribute to engineering process improvements. The role involves building a product and creating a market that hasn't been done before, requiring a strong bias toward action and a willingness to seek help when needed. The Data Engineer will be involved in leading the company's engagement with category leaders, solving their biggest challenges.

Must have:

Proficient in Flink and Java
Proficient in messaging queue frameworks (Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ)
Strong enthusiasm in AI / data
5-8 years of software individual contributor experience
Experience in startups and enterprises
Proficiency in AWS/GCP/Azure
Proven record of building a complex service from scratch
Experience in delivering incremental features and maintaining reliability
Good understanding of SDLC and security compliance

Good to have:

Proven experience of building a team and mentoring skills
PhD training in computer science or similar areas
Previous startup founder experiences
Proficient in react / vue, and CRUD
Proficient in embedded CV and related frameworks
Product manager leadership in AI/ML based products

What you will be working on regardless the roles

Set technical direction for streaming data processing engine
Hands-on implementation of streaming data processing engine
Practice engineering best practices for system design, coding, documentation and communication
Work closely with engineering team members and operation team to identify new priorities and communicate it well
Contribute to engineering development process improvements

What you must have

proficient in Flink and Java
proficient in messaging queue frameworks such as Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ, etc.
depth belief in our mission and strong enthusiasm in AI / data
5-8 years software individual contributor experiences
experiences in startups and enterprises
proficiency in at least one of the following public cloud: AWS/GCP/Azure
proven record of building a complex service from scratch to production
experiences in delivering incremental features and maintaining reliabilities of a production service
good understanding in best practices in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and security compliance

Nice-to-Haves

proven experiences of building a team and mentoring skills
PhD training in computer science or similar areas
previous startup founder experiences
Proficient in react / vue, and CRUD
Proficient in embedded CV and related framworks, such as TensorRT, Gstreamer, etc.
Product manager leadership in AI/ML based products
