Job Summary:
Sega of America is seeking a First Party & Events Coordinator who is enthusiastic about partner marketing and experiential activations, with an interest in games and entertainment. Reporting to the Director, First Party & Events, this role will support all SEGA Product Marketing and Brand teams on First Party and partner relationships for console, PC and mobile game campaigns, as well as Event planning and execution. They will support key partner relationships with First Party platforms (e.g., PlayStation, Microsoft, Nintendo, Apple, Google, Amazon) and other partners as a central point of contact and cross-functional evangelist and be closely involved in the day-to-day organization and execution of large-scale tradeshows and events. The successful candidate will have experience in marketing, project management and/or event production, knowledge of gaming ecosystems and thrive within a matrix structure, interfacing with a cross-section of international stakeholders.
The ideal individual will be highly organized, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have a solid understanding of video game platforms and marketing channels. They will be detail oriented, tracking ongoing updates for product roadmaps and project schedules, assisting with developing pitch presentations, sharing information across a variety of stakeholders. They excel at building working relationships across a variety of job functions and organizations and guiding those teams to maximize support and collaboration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the First Party & Events team, as well as Product Marketing, Brand and Marketing Services teams, to facilitate partner marketing plans and to execute event activations for SEGA brands and products, tracking performance against specified business KPIs.
- Represent Sega West Publishing and ensure alignment across internal teams to successfully support and champion partnerships and programs with First Parties and other partners.
- Act as the First Party partner evangelist; sharing platform specific best practices and using prioritization and influencing skills to focus internal resources on plans and activations that will be most impactful and mutually beneficial.
- Collaborate in the creative brainstorming process for partner marketing and event concept ideation, including liaising with development studios on service title content planning for first party platforms.
- Draft, route and optimize pitch decks and presentations for external partners.
- Route, organize and distribute key marketing assets and materials across internal and external stakeholders for partner marketing planning and event marketing activations.
- Build games and events roadmaps and process documentation to keep internal and external teams up to date on key business and marketing plans over time.
- Research and book venues, catering, entertainers, photographers, AV, staffing and other support vendors for SEGA corporate, consumer, and press/influencer events.
- Liaise with vendors, show management/show services and other stakeholders during the event planning process to execute key deliverables for events and trade shows, including registration, temporary staffing, schedules, custom items, housing, packing, and shipping.
- Work with the First Party & Events team to organize and oversee all event set-up, tear down and follow-up processes.
- Work with Legal, Accounting, and other internal and external stakeholders to execute vendor onboarding, invoicing, and payments.
- Serve as a central point of contact for cross-functional communications in planning and organizing marketing and business meetings with First Party partners, coordinating agenda items, distributing presentation materials and roadmap documentation, and tracking/distributing follow-up items.
- Participate in First Party marketing meetings and facilitate planning and coordination to ensure all relevant SEGA teams are represented.
- Develop work back schedules and project manage deadlines and deliverables for owned projects.
- Other responsibilities are performed as assigned or needed.
- Working in-office is an essential function of this position. This requirement of face-to-face interaction is in place to ensure effective supervision, collaboration, and teamwork. In-office attendance is required for the following reasons:
