Job Description
As Head of Finance at A.Team, you'll be a critical cross-functional leader, building scalable operations and executing strategic financial and growth initiatives. You'll lead a team focused on financial planning and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and risk management. Responsibilities include revenue optimization, debt management, incentive planning, and key spend decisions. You'll also oversee resource allocation, process improvement, and change management, using data-driven insights for capital allocation. The role requires strong strategic and operational capabilities in high-growth environments, experience with equity financing rounds, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Must have:
- 10+ years experience in VC/PE backed startups, finance, or consulting
- Senior management experience in high-growth organizations
- Expertise in forecasting, budgeting, strategy, and capital allocation
- Success in supporting equity financing rounds (Series B and beyond)
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
Good to have:
- Experience in management consulting or investment banking
- FP&A and accounting experience

Finance @ A.Team:
As Head of Finance, you will be a critical cross-functional leader across finance, planning, and strategy; charged with continuing to build scalable operations and executing strategic financial and growth initiatives to evolve the organization. You will lead a team that is focused on financial planning and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, and financial risk management; including specific ownership of revenue optimization, debt, incentives and key spend decisions. You will also be responsible for resource allocation, process improvement, and change management utilizing data and informed capital allocation to steer company initiatives.
Anticipated salary band: $225,000 USD - $275,000 USD, commensurate with experience.
In this role, you will...
- Oversee strategic financial planning and analysis, while streamlining processes
- Lead financial reporting and compliance
- Manage cash flow and capital
- Drive budget and cost management
- Oversee risk management
- Lead finance team
- Support revenue function with comp plan and analysis
- Develop ROI framework and metric-driven across the company
About you:
- We’re looking for someone with top tier strategic and operational capabilities who’s worked in both high growth and high performance environments demonstrating sufficient financial, investment and managerial acumen (e.g. startups and possibly mix of management consulting, finance, or investment banking and strategic finance)
- 10+ years working experience in Venture Capital or Private Equity backed start-ups, Finance or Consulting
- Experience in a senior management role ideally with both business operations and financial responsibilities at a high-growth organization
- Relevant working experience in forecasting, budgeting, strategy, and driving key operational results through effective capital allocation
- Successful track record in supporting equity financing rounds (ideally through Series B and beyond)
- Strong growth mentality with the ability to build good working relationships with many different internal and external stakeholders, ability to influence others and inspire change
- Very hands on who can balance short term needs with long term objectives
- Comfortable with making traceoffs between short term and long term objectives and making decisions with less than 100% of the data.
- Good blend of hands-on FP&A and Accounting desired.
- Must be US East Coast time zone, prefer NY-area based with ability to come to the office one day a week (located around Union Square)
