Your Role

‍

As the Head of Outsourcing, you will manage and direct our outsourcing operations, reporting directly to our CEO, Atey Ghailan. You will oversee the quality, health, and efficiency of the studio’s processes and outputs. By leading a talented team and setting high standards for productivity, client service, and collaboration, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our studio.

This is an in-house position based in Stockholm, where you will lead the department, ensure alignment across teams, and optimize the studio’s outsourcing pipeline to meet our clients’ expectations and internal goals.

Key Responsibilities

‍

• Studio Leadership: Direct the studio toward achieving its vision, mission, and strategic goals, fostering a healthy work culture. Take ownership of the Outsourcing Department. Serve as the main point of contact across the company and cross-functionally aligning with the other departments of the company.
• Outsourcing Department Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the outsourcing department, including hiring needs, assigning tasks, scheduling, and performance standards on team’s deliveries.
• Team Alignment: Coordinate that all teams are aligned in terms of company goals, communications, leadership qualities and general approaches
• Pipeline Optimization: Identify opportunities and take ownership of pipeline improvement, creating processes and tools to support efficient workflows.
• Client and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the outsourcing department, building and maintaining strong client relationships and managing both internal and external stakeholders.
• Budget Management: Efficiently manage budgets to maximize project outcomes.
• Growth and Development: Build and evolve the outsourcing department by identifying, recruiting, and nurturing talent; work closely with the Business Developer to secure and allocate projects.
• Direct Leadership: Manage leaders of multiple teams within the outsourcing department, assigning tasks, setting goals, and ensuring project deliverables are met with the help of Art Leads and Project Managers.
• Risk Mitigation: Anticipate risks and adapt project scope and timelines to budget considerations, ensuring optimal outcomes for the department.

Qualifications

‍

• Experience: 8+ years in the video game industry or a similar field, including 4+ years in a leadership or management role focused on art production.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of creating and producing art and game assets for video games, also experience working with external development teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in management software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Miro, Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, and art management tools.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, managing both creative and business objectives.
• Budget Expertise: Skilled in budget management with a strategic, business-minded approach.
• Adaptability: Flexible and able to navigate unexpected changes in project scope and timelines.

• Project Management: 2+ years of experience managing projects using Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methodologies.
• Technical Art Skills: Knowledge in 2D art, 3D art, and animation.
