QNX is seeking a Senior Recruitment Specialist for a 14-month fixed-term contract in Kanata, Ontario, to cover maternity leave. This role involves partnering with managers to meet hiring goals and sourcing hard-to-find candidates in the competitive embedded systems industry. The specialist will utilize recruitment expertise to build and implement strategies for identifying passive and active candidates, ensuring a positive candidate and hiring manager experience. Responsibilities include qualifying candidates, understanding business strategy, fostering diversity and inclusion, building talent pipelines, and improving recruitment processes. The ideal candidate will have previous technical recruitment experience in the embedded technology industry, a track record of excellent recruitment experiences, and proven success in direct sourcing.
Must have:
  • Previous technical recruitment experience in embedded technology

  • Proven success in direct sourcing via platforms like LinkedIn/Github
  • Ability to handle complex hiring processes
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills

We have a wonderful opportunity working as a Senior Recruitment Specialist in our Kanata based office, on our small yet mighty Talent Acquisition team on a 14 month fixed term contract basis, providing maternity cover.

You will be joining a top performing, globally visible team, who are passionate about recruiting. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with the business and partnering with Managers throughout the recruitment process to help ensure QNX meets and exceeds its hiring goals, whilst satisfying our candidate’s aspirations for the next step in their career.

Using your technical knowledge, you will enjoy researching and sourcing hard to find candidates with unique skills in very competitive, candidate-driven markets. Utilising your recruitment know-how, you will use your consultative approach to recruit, build and implement strategies which identify passive and active candidates for a wide range of roles, across one of the hottest & fastest moving industries.

  • Identify and nurture applicant sources by engaging with various networks and resources
  • Build out talent pipelines and tap knowledgeable industry sources to develop an ongoing pool of candidates
  • Ensure a positive impression of QNX by promptly and consistently engaging candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruiting cycle
  • Guide our hiring managers in understanding the skills, traits and experiences needed and creatively source appropriate candidates
  • Help us continually improve the efficiency and overall quality of our recruiting process

What we need you to bring:

  • Previous technical recruitment experience gained working in a fast-paced, inhouse or agency environment within the embedded technology industry.
  • A track record of providing an outstanding recruitment experience for candidates & hiring managers alike.
  • Proven success sourcing candidates directly utilising multiple platforms such as LinkedIn/Github.
  • Ability to deal with sophisticated hiring processes and successfully follow it through to closure.
  • Excellent communication, influencing & collaboration skills that have allowed you to build maintain and develop effective in-person and remote relationships.

Desirable

  • Previous experience using Workday.
