- In this role, you'll be joining our Data Intelligence Team within Data Ingestion, Platform and Solution Squad as a Lead Engineer, Quality Engineering (DaaS - Env Management), responsible for automation for test environment setup, test data management, Test validation via CI/CD, test framework development, test services buildup, test reporting and all automation related work in testing.
- The software products include (a) Building a Data lakes on the company platform using the platform building blocks DaaS and MDS on Azure cloud Fabric to extract data from vendor distribution channels and transform them to standard LSEG data models, more like an ETL to apply transformation rules and mappings and persist the same to the platform product data lake. (b) The data specialist teams to configure metadata and business rules, data corrections, data dictionary, field dictionary and generate reports. (c) Building UI/UX for customer to consume the data products based on the data catalogue and business glossary, with product segmentation with rights management. (d) A platform that can on-board multiple data products who have unique requirements and dedicated data sources. The platform capabilities like scheduling, triggering, delivery, interactive data products and contents, and management. The internal team within LSEG who builds software products and solutions for different business units within the organisation.
- 15+ Years as Test Manager / Data Quality engineer working on one or more software products.
- Microsoft Fabric (SaaS Product – Software as a Service) Define E2E Test Strategy for SaaS Product and define Quality Gate’s to support SaaS Product without compromising on LSEG Testing Standards and Quality Gate Framework
- Define the ENV strategy for DaaS with clear Entry and Exit criteria.
- Define the CICD strategy for Daas with full automation in SDLC
- Define the Test Data strategy for DaaS with tools in LSEG
- Expert in Python, Behave/Nose2/PySpark and related framework
- Excellent communication skills – Verbal and Written – articulate clear Weekly and E2E Test Reports to wider audience (ability to walk-through at C’level executives)
- Strong Azure DevOps CI/CD build and automation pipeline knowledge and Experience with containerization and related technologies.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Postman or other similar API test tools.
- Experience in Azure Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks/Synapse – Spark Pool, SpySpark, Purview, Snowflake
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools for managing agile development.
- Strong understanding of cloud concepts, Azure services, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding of software engineering principles and familiar with Agile development process and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence etc.)
- Strong sense of core system support and customer satisfaction.
- Experience in Performance testing, and familiar with related test tools e.g. JMeter.
- Managing and improving the QA process, tools, and frameworks used by the team.
