Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Manager to join our dynamic and rapidly growing global accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity within a high-growth, fast-paced company based in South King County.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be a key contributor to the Zones Accounting team and a valued partner to our purchasing, sales, and marketing departments. You’ll lead a high-performing team responsible for managing accounts payable operations across multiple legal entities and currencies—bringing new and complex challenges daily.

What you’ll do as the AP Manager:

- Team Leadership: Manage and support the AP team, including training, performance evaluations, and workflow management.
- Invoice Processing Oversight: Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, and payments. Oversee accounts payable specialists responsible for the 3-way match process for US and Canada entities. Ensure accounts payable processing is in conformity with current accounting standards and tax compliance.
- Vendor Management: Maintain positive relationships with vendors; resolve payment issues and discrepancies professionally and promptly.
- Compliance & Controls: Enforce internal controls, ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., IRS 1099 reporting in the U.S.).
- Reporting & Analysis: Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Prepare AP aging reports, cash flow projections, and other financial reports for management.
- Process Improvement: Monitor KPIs and identify and implement improvements in AP processes, automation, and system efficiencies (e.g., ERP or AP automation tools). Own the accounts payable Standard Operating Procedures and internal control structure.
- Audits: Support internal and external audit processes related to accounts payable.
- Key partner: Collaborate with accounting operations/purchasing to ensure seamless workflows, issue resolution and operational excellence.
What you will bring to the team:
- 7+ years supervising a high -volume shared services procure to pay/payables environment ideally processing multiple entities and/or currencies. Proven track record of success in this type of fast paced environment.
- Proactive supervision – coaches in the moment. Supervises as a mentor/coach - holds the team accountable for outcomes
- Experience working within a large ERP system. MSFT D365 Experience would be an asset. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with AP automation tools.
- Thrives in a multitasking environment. Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. Ability and desire to adapt quickly to change.
- Self-starter with a problem solving, “Can Do” mentality. Excellent critical thinking skills
- Team player with amazing verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Accounting experience (preferred)
- Lean or Six Sigma experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of ACH and global payment practices
Work Arrangement:
This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring team members to be onsite at our Headquarters location in Auburn, WA at minimum 2 days per week. The remaining workdays can be performed remotely, subject to team and business needs.

Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $126,000 - $136,000 plus bonus.
