Job Description

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, SFDC, and cold calling. Develop and maintain client relationships, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet sales targets. Monitor market trends and competitor activities. Provide feedback to management on market conditions and customer needs. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in SFDC. Visit customers regularly and attend trade shows. This role requires exceptional communication, time management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely across different time zones. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, along with the ability to comprehend and communicate effectively with global customers and principals. Problem-solving, handling multiple priorities, and excelling in a global team environment are key. The role also involves developing reports and handling special assignments professionally.
Must have:

Job Details

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, using SFDC and cold calling prospects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Provide feedback to the sales team and management on market conditions and customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in SFDC
  • Visit customers on a regular basis and attend appropriate tradeshows 

 

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree

5+ years of Sales experience
Experience with photonics, industrial, life science or other similar types of markets is recommended 

 

Skills & Other Requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently, remotely and with others around the world in different time zones
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively with Global customers and principals at different purchasing, engineering, and management levels. Ability to solve problems in a timely and quality manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and complex issues involving external and internal priorities.
  • Ability to excel in a cross-organizational Global team environment.
  • Ability to develop reports and business correspondence.
  • Handle special assignments promptly and professionally.

 

Working Conditions

Normal office conditions and able to travel

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others to exchange information
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to travel

 

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow the site EHS procedures and Corporate EHS standards. This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities.

Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently.  They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance.

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.

Employees are required to maintain a quality work environment that is safe, clean, organized and environmentally compliant.

Responsible for maintaining Quality Work Environment housekeeping standards for own work area and community areas.
