Principal Software Architect
Your role:
Scope large-scale projects at the system level, involving multiple teams and exercises independent judgment in the selection of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve desired outcomes, working independently.
Utilizes resources and expertise to independently identify and resolve problems in the architectural design process and demonstrates self-reliance and ingenuity in addressing challenges and finding effective Digital solutions.
Provides mentoring and guidance to junior Solution Architects, offers support and expertise to facilitate their professional development, and enhances their skills in architectural design and solution implementation within the organization.
Contributes to cross-organization initiatives, provides consultancy services, leverages expertise to support strategic projects and fosters collaboration across teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and facilitate effective decision-making processes.
Utilizes advanced data-driven problem-solving techniques to address operational, clinical, and business domain challenges faced by clients to optimize solutions' performance and drive sustainable success.
Prepares presentations showcasing the company’s Solution and Services capabilities to prospective clients across all levels within their organizations, including CxOs, DMEs, clinicians, and IT professionals.
Architect and oversee the implementation of cloud-native services (e.g., on AWS, Azure) and mobile applications (iOS and Android), enabling secure and efficient data flow.
Identifies engagement risks, conducts a risk assessment of third-party components and companies using a standard methodology, collaborates with multiple business units to mitigate solution risks, implements a mitigation plan for the client’s proposed solution and ensures a comprehensive and validated outcome for the customer.
Acts as a liaison between various subject matter experts (SMEs) and sales teams to develop robust solutions and services architectures, leverages optimal efforts, and engages procurement experts for third-party product acquisition and contracting as needed.
Participates in retrospective project audits/lessons learned meetings to identify improvement opportunities in scoping, definition, and contracting of professional services and contributes to enhanced project management practices and service delivery excellence.
Ensure compliance with medical device regulations (e.g., IEC 62304, HIPAA, GDPR) and support documentation for FDA submissions.
Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability.
You're the right fit if:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
18+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3-5 years in a principal or lead architect role.
Proven experience designing and deploying cloud-based systems and mobile applications in a regulated industry.
Deep understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., microservices, serverless, containers, message queues).
Expertise in mobile app development frameworks (e.g., React Native).
Strong grasp of cybersecurity principles, data privacy laws, and compliance relevant to healthcare.
Experience with Agile methodologies, modern DevOps practices, and test automation.
Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with AI/ML components.
Published work or patents in medical or health-related software fields.
