The Reinsurance Client Support Specialist will join the Transactional Services Team in Singapore, focusing on technical treaty matters. The role involves ensuring compliance with professional standards, preparing presentation materials, and managing fund settlements. The specialist will also develop complex information for RFPs, implement audit processes, collaborate with peers, and provide training and guidance. This position requires effective task management, adherence to SLAs, and driving business growth through process improvement. The role requires working at least three days a week in the office.
Must have:
  • Experience in processing Treaty technical accounts/claims.
  • Experience in the Reinsurance industry, ideally Treaty Reinsurance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good Microsoft suite skills.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Transactional Services Team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to be responsible for technical treaty matters:

  • Entry of contractual information into system for premium invoicing.

  • Review technical statements of accounts & claims advices from clients; process statements and billings according to departmental procedures.

  • Attend to queries from clients, reinsurers, and related parties.

  • Assist in the resolution of technical accounting and claims issues.

  • Ensure timely responses to monthly Regional and Local Controllerships' revenue review queries and requests.

  • Ensure procedures and documentation are in compliance with Guy Carpenter Professional Standards.

  • Assess and submit client and/or reinsurer presentation materials

  • Communications to resolve difficult questions and secure reinsurer agreements and payments of claims and account balances.

  • Integrate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other system tools to manage difficult transactional processes.

  • Ensure assigned tasks are managed effectively and in a timely manner aligned to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and provide services in an efficient, effective and regulatory compliant manner.

  • Develop complex information on accounting/claims process for Request For Proposal (RFP) and sales opportunities in order to drive business growth.

  • Manage settlement of funds to and from Client in a timely manner in order to ensure all applicable contractual payment terms; warranties and/or conditions are met.

  • Implement processes to carry out reinsurance audit/reviews with clients and reinsurers and reviews open claims and/or premium activity, reconciles records in order to facilitate the review/audit process to ensure process quality.

  • Collaborate with peers on challenging reinsurance developments

  • Support and provide training, mentoring and guidance within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing, assist with trouble shooting and develop team resources.

  • Establish and drive relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets to understand issues in order to resolve problems and queries and review working practices.

What you need to have:

  • Prior experience in processing Treaty technical accounts / claims in a reinsurance broking environment.

  • Prior experience in the Reinsurance industry, specific experience in Treaty Reinsurance is highly desirable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good Microsoft suite skills.
