Syniverse is seeking a Senior HR Technology Specialist with a forward-thinking approach to HR technology strategy. This individual contributor role will be the primary support contact for the Workday user community, ensuring the security and confidentiality of the Workday platform. Responsibilities include serving as a Subject Matter Expert for Workday modules like Recruiting and HCM, troubleshooting user issues, collaborating with the Workday community, creating and updating process documentation, performing administrative functions such as security maintenance and data loads, assisting with system enhancement releases and regression testing, and conducting data audits. The role also involves collaborating with HR and functional stakeholders to build reports, including advanced reporting and calculated fields. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred, along with 5+ years of back-end experience on the Workday platform, preferably with experience in Workday Recruiting and HCM. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant Human Resources work experience is required, along with excellent customer service skills, advanced knowledge of Workday Recruiting and/or HCM, and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Strong problem-solving skills, detail orientation, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.

Our HR Technology strategy involves a forward-thinking approach to understanding current and future trends as well as the impact of our investments in our people. The HR Technology Specialist is a member of the HR function. They will be the primary support contact for our Workday user community while also ensuring that the security and confidentiality of our Workday platform is maintained. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of the HR function, is proactive and creative in looking at issues, an strong team player, and is comfortable with navigating the Workday platform. There is room for role expansion to support other HR technology systems.

Some of What You'll Do

Scope of the Role: 

  • Direct Reports: This is an individual contributor role and has no direct reports. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the SME for areas of Workday, such as Recruiting and HCM 

  • Support contact for the Workday user community by trouble shooting problems, answering questions ensuring queries are addressed in a timely manner with excellent customer service 

  • Collaborate with Workday Community  to resolve issues found within Workday and proactively remain informed about Workday enhancements 

  • Create documentation for new processes and update existing documentation based on enhancements made to existing processes 

  • Perform Workday administrative functions including security maintenance, business process configuration, data loads, password resets, etc 

  • Assist with twice a year mandatory system enhancement releases, including regression testing and identifying process improvements  

  • Regularly perform data audits and validation, and follow up with appropriate teams for corrections 

  • Collaborate with HR and functional stakeholders to build reporting (basic and advanced – calculated fields/all reporting types) 

 

 Experience, Education and Certifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree; human resources preferred or related field 

  • 5+ years of back-end experience on the Workday platform with experience in Workday Recruiting and HCM strongly preferred 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant Human Resources work experience 

  • Excellent customer service skills, able to collaborate with a wide variety of people 

 

 Additional Requirements: 

  • Advanced knowledge of Workday Recruiting and/or HCM including Business Processes, Supervisory Orgs and HIerarchies 

  • Capable of writing/maintaining Standard and Advanced reports. Experience with creating calculated fields 

  • Must be experienced user of MS Office (Word, Excel Outlook, PowerPoint; In Excel, must have ability to create pivot tables, vlookups) 

  • A strong foundation and understanding of key HR practices and issues 

  • Detail oriented and organized, with high degree of accuracy 

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality 

  • Proven ability to prioritize and complete tasks with tight deadlines 

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player 

  • Strong problem-solving skills 

  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written 

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
