Job Description

Activision's Game Security department seeks a Senior Project Manager to execute a complex roadmap of parallel projects protecting Call of Duty games. Responsibilities include prioritizing features, gathering requirements, managing daily delivery, coordinating analyst and engineering efforts, improving internal tooling, overseeing reverse engineering of malicious software, developing countermeasures, researching suspicious incidents, managing stakeholder communication (PR, Player Support, Legal), managing multiple projects concurrently, and facilitating career growth of direct reports. The role requires strong cross-functional project management, significant game security experience (3+ AAA titles), and experience with tools like Jira and Confluence.

Your Mission

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join Call of Duty’s Game Security department. This opportunity is centered around executing a complex roadmap involving parallel projects that keep our Call of Duty games protected from bad actors. The role will also act as an escalation point of throughout AP.

What you bring to the table

The video game industry and therefore our business is fast-paced and will continue to evolve. As such, the duties and responsibilities of this role may be changed as directed by the Company at any time to promote and support our business and relationships with industry partners. Therefore, this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:  

  • Work closely with the team lead to update and execute the engineering roadmap by prioritizing features, gathering requirements, and managing day-to-day delivery
  • Coordinate analyst and engineering efforts to improve the team’s toolset; Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks by improving internal tooling
  • Oversee the reverse engineering of malicious software, followed by the development of effective countermeasures and deterrents
  • Research suspicious incidents and provide time-sensitive investigative evidence to stakeholders
  • Manage the team’s relationship with PR, Player Support and Legal; Oversee communications with these departments and others
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel, including delivery timelines, documentation, and stakeholder communication
  • Establish relationships in all appropriate AP departments
  • Facilitate career growth of direct reports

Player Profile  

Minimum requirements:

Experience  

  • 3+ years of cross-functional project management experience
  • Significant game security experience in the service of 3+ AAA game titles
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects at scale; Strong familiarity with Agile delivery
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, etc.

Knowledge & Skills  

  • History of managing several direct reports

Key Attributes  

  • An effective communicator who is comfortable crafting and presenting lectures
