Job Description

The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606. They will participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close activities, and commissions accounting close activities and deliverables. The role requires partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue forecasting and reporting. The Senior Revenue Accountant will also prepare revenue-related reports for financial statement disclosures, lead or support the implementation and migration of revenue accounting systems, collaborate to define systems requirements and ensure alignment with accounting policies, perform systems testing, validation, and user training for new implementations or enhancements, and interface with internal and external auditors on revenue-related issues while supporting US GAAP audits and maintaining SOX control documentation.
Must have:
  • 3-5 years of revenue accounting experience in SAAS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
  • High proficiency using the NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management module.
Good to have:
  • Public accounting experience and CPA certification.
  • Experience in Power BI, Salesforce CRM, and RevPro.
  • System implementation and UAT experience (NetSuite, RevPro).

Job Description
 

Senior Revenue Accountant

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Review and analyze complex customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close activities, and commissions accounting close activities and deliverables (recons, revenue dashboards & reporting, revenue reserves, flux) 
  • Partner with cross functional teams to ensure accurate revenue forecasting and reporting
  • Prepare revenue related reports for financial statement disclosures
  • Lead or support the implementation and migration of revenue accounting systems
  • Collaborate to define systems requirements and ensure alignment with accounting policies
  • Perform systems testing, validation and user training for new implementations or enhancements
  • Interface with internal and external audit on revenue related issues, support US GAAP audit and maintain SOX control documentation

Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • 3‐5 years of experience in revenue accounting role in SAAS technology or subscription-based industry
  • Public accounting experience preferred and CPA a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
  • High proficiency using the NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management module in multi-currencies and multi-Subsidiaries environment
  • Experience in Power BI, Salesforce CRM, and RevPro a plus
  • System Implementation and UAT experience (NetSuite, RevPro) preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
