This role is for a 3D Character Model Designer for a new competitive project. Responsibilities include assisting the lead artist in defining character model style and production specifications, managing outsourced work, and ensuring in-game model quality. Candidates should have 5+ years of game art experience, proficiency in hand-painted & PBR styles, U3D project experience, and strong modeling, lighting, and shader skills. Experience with aesthetically pleasing faces and hero pipeline production is essential.
Must have:
  • Assist lead artist in defining project character model style.
  • Formulate character model production specifications.
  • Assist lead artist in planning, tracking, and reviewing outsourced work.
  • Track and resolve in-game implementation effects of models.
  • 5+ years of game art project experience.
  • Proficient in hand-painted & PBR styles, art major background, U3D project experience.
  • Capable of high/low poly modeling for characters/monsters, secondary design, lighting, and shader adjustment.
  • Experience in creating aesthetically pleasing faces.
  • Familiar with hero pipeline production.
Good to have:
  • MOBA or top-down game development experience

Job Requirements

1. 5+ years of experience in game art projects, proficient in hand-painted & PBR styles, from an art major background, with U3D project experience.

2. Capable of producing high and low poly models for characters and monsters, possessing secondary design capabilities beyond original concept art, and capable of lighting and shader adjustment.

3. Experience in creating aesthetically pleasing faces; MOBA or top-down game development experience is a plus; familiar with hero pipeline production.

4. Passionate about games, strong sense of responsibility, easy to communicate with, good teamwork awareness.

5. Strong sense of responsibility, high work commitment, and ability to cooperate with the team to achieve goals.
