Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled AV/VTC Technician to provide technical support for audio-visual and video teleconferencing (VTC) systems in support of mission requirements. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of AV equipment and control systems to include wired and wireless microphones, audio mixing consoles, video cameras, video switchers, video encoding devices, and projectors.  The candidate will provide technical support for live meetings, conferences, and special events, perform routine system checks, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, configure, tune, and program AV control systems, including Crestron controllers and touch panels and BiAmp audio controllers.
                                               
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related matters, with full authority to act on behalf of the company regarding contract execution and daily operations.
  • Program and configure audio/visual systems including:
    • Crestron DM switchers, control systems, and touch panels
    • BiAmp digital signal processors (DSPs)
  • Develop and manage technician support schedules, maintaining a rolling two-week calendar to align with COR-provided event requirements.
  • Provide technical support for live event productions; must be able to independently operate, configure, troubleshoot, and program A/V and VTC equipment for seamless multimedia event execution.
  • Coordinate technical support for multiple concurrent events, ensuring qualified technicians are present at each location. When needed, deploy technicians to support government staff in delivering high-quality AV and VTC experiences.
  • Operate and maintain a wide array of A/V equipment, including but not limited to:
    • Laptops/desktops, projection systems, video switchers/routers, and display interfacing equipment
    • Wired and wireless microphones, amplifiers, loudspeakers, monitors, and mixing consoles
    • Video cameras and controllers, PA systems, projection screens, recorders/players (analog/digital), and streaming devices
    • Character generators, lighting instruments and consoles, stage rigging systems, curtain systems, intercoms, and Crestron control interfaces
  • Execute complex event cue sequences involving microphone, lighting, camera, and projection coordination, based on scripts, real-time direction, and producer instructions.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with AV/VTC systems, wiring, cabling, and terminations within ArmyU auditoriums and conference rooms—during both live events and preventive maintenance operations.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on all venue equipment, including:
    • Bulb replacements, wiring and cable inspections, connector cleaning, and other general upkeep
    • Submit a comprehensive monthly maintenance summary in compliance with COR guidelines
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams to coordinate troubleshooting and system repairs.
  • Supervise, guide, and evaluate subordinate staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to contract expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support mission success.
Education/Experience/Required Clearance
Required:
  • A High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Minimum Five (5) years’ experience with hands on programming and configuring Crestron Switchers, control systems, touch panels, and Biamp Digital Signal Processors.
  • SECRET level clearance
Preferred:
  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification
  • BiAmp Certification

Other Qualifications
  • Possess clear and precise oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to meet requirements to work on military installation, including having a valid state driver's license and car insurance.
  • Be self-motivated with ability to establish priorities and effectively manage time to complete multiple tasks within specified timeframes
  • Be organized with a strong sense of urgency
  • Adhere to established guidelines and procedures
  • Demonstrate high standards of quality and accuracy
  • Be in attendance and punctual as scheduled
  • Be completely functional in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems
  • Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings
  • Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
