Job Description

The Data Scientist on the GenAI Operations Team at Enverus will develop and implement generative AI solutions. This role involves designing and deploying AI models using LLMs and AWS Bedrock, building RAG frameworks, and creating Text2SQL agents. The scientist will work with multi-agentic architectures, collaborate with industry experts, and deploy AI models on AWS. This position requires driving GenAI projects from concept to production, operating independently on complex challenges, and contributing to Enverus's mission of making energy affordable and accessible.
Must have:
  • Design and implement generative AI models and solutions using multiple LLMs and AWS Bedrock.
  • Build and deploy RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) frameworks for enhanced AI applications.
  • Develop Text2SQL agents to enable natural language database querying capabilities.
  • Work with multi-agentic architectures to solve complex business challenges.
  • Collaborate with Energy Industry SMEs to understand domain-specific requirements and translate them into AI solutions.
  • Deploy prototypes and production-ready generative AI models on AWS infrastructure.
  • Drive GenAI project initiatives from conception to implementation.
  • Operate independently on open-ended challenges while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Possess 2-3 years of Data Scientist experience with focus on generative AI technologies.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of generative AI frameworks, LLMs, and RAG-based architectures.
  • Have hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock, Lambda Functions, Step Functions, S3, and OpenSearch.
  • Possess production experience building and deploying Text2SQL agents and conversational AI systems.
  • Have exposure to multi-agentic architectures and complex AI orchestration patterns.
  • Be proficient in Python and machine learning frameworks.
  • Have experience with cloud-native AI/ML deployment on AWS.
  • Be an independent thinker with strong problem-solving skills for open-ended challenges.
  • Be able to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Show interest in driving innovation and leading GenAI initiatives.
  • Possess strong communication skills to work with Energy Industry Subject Matter Experts.
Good to have:
  • Experience working with Databricks platform for data science and machine learning workflows
  • Familiarity with Databricks MLflow for model tracking and deployment
  • Knowledge of Databricks Delta Lake for data management and processing
  • Experience integrating Databricks with cloud AI/ML services

The Team

The GenAI Operations Team is seeking a team-oriented Data Scientist who is excited to take on the development and implementation of generative AI solutions for various business tasks, projects, and initiatives that are integral to the success of the organization.

Performance Objectives:

  • Designing and implementing generative AI models and solutions using multiple LLMs and AWS Bedrock
  • Building and deploying RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) frameworks for enhanced AI applications
  • Developing Text2SQL agents to enable natural language database querying capabilities
  • Working with multi-agentic architectures to solve complex business challenges
  • Collaborating with Energy Industry SMEs to understand domain-specific requirements and translate them into AI solutions

Competitive Candidate Profile:

  • 2-3 years of Data Scientist experience with focus on generative AI technologies
