Sonar is seeking a skilled FP&A Manager - Go-to-Market to join their dynamic global team. This senior-level role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company's sales compensation plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and incentivizing sales performance. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Finance, HR, and RevOps to ensure accurate and transparent commission calculations. This is a high-impact position with executive leadership visibility, requiring a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in sales compensation or related fields, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity. The role demands strong Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills, familiarity with Salesforce, and excellent attention to detail.

The Impact You Will Have:

A sales commissions manager is a senior-level role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a company's sales compensation plans, ensuring they align with business goals and incentivize sales performance. You will work cross-functionally across Finance, HR, and RevOps to ensure accurate, timely, and transparent commission calculations that align with evolving compensation plans. This is a high-impact role with visibility to executive leadership. 


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Oversee Sales Compensation Programs: This includes designing incentive structures, determining pay mix, and setting quotas and commission tiers.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership, HR, and Legal: Collaborating with these teams to ensure compensation plans are aligned with company objectives and market competitiveness.
  • Administer and Implement Sales Compensation Plans: Overseeing the processes for commission calculations, payments, and dispute resolution.
  • Analyze Sales Performance and Incentive Effectiveness: Conducting in-depth analysis to identify areas for improvement and ensure plans are driving desired results.
  • Provide Strategic Recommendations: Offering insights and recommendations on compensation trends, policies, and structures to support business growth.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring all compensation matters are handled in a compliant manner. 


What You Will Do Daily:
  • Designing commission structures for different sales roles (e.g., sales representatives, sales managers, sales directors).
  • Developing and implementing performance-based bonus programs.
  • Managing the commission payout process, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
  • Analyzing commission data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry best practices and trends in sales compensation.
  • Communicating sales compensation plans to the sales team and other stakeholders.
  • Address disputes or questions regarding commissions. 
  • Track comp plan exceptions and midcycle plan changes.
  • Update attainment dashboards and send accrual reports to Accounting.
  • Own end-to-end commissions processing and payouts via Captivate IQ. 
  • Reconcile commission data with Salesforce and Tableau
  • Run audit checks and ensure controls are enforced - prepare summary reports for leadership.
  • Scenario modeling for new compensation plans or organizational changes. 


The Experience You Will Need:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like business, finance, HR, or a related area is required. 
  • 7+ years of experience in sales compensation, sales operations, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. 
  • A proven track record of designing and managing global sales compensation programs.
  • Strong modeling skills in Excel/Google Sheets 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce 
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
  • Experience working across teams: Sales, HR, Rev Ops
  • Ability to distill complex data into actionable, executive-ready insights
  • Strong verbal and written communication
