Summary
An infrastructure engineer supports virtualization and cloud-based efforts, as well as development and support of tools and processes related to DevSecOps.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist software developers in enhancing existing code baseline to support DevSecOps pipelines
Enhance pipelines to support new and existing technologies and methodologies
Support deployment efforts of web applications and Docker containers
Support improvements to established pipelines and improve automation using orchestration tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps
Assist development activities to improve security and address critical functional defects
Collaborate with security related roles within organization to generate required artifacts, develop documentation, and completion of security related checklists, such as STIGs.
Support configuration efforts of pipeline tool suites, such as Artifactory, SonarQube, Jira, and Confluence.
Support installation and configuration of various hypervisors, including ESXi
Use of Infrastructure as Code technologies to provide automated deployments and configuration management of developed environments
Support Installation and configuration of container-based applications as well as develop and support containerization environments
Configure networking infrastructure in a secure manner that also supports operational needs
Support cloud-based deployments
Qualifications and Education Requirements
B S degree required, B S degree in Engineering or Information Technology related field preferred
Proficient using Git or other configuration management tools
Knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware vCenter/ESXi, and Hyper-V
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Preferred Skills
Experience with simulation product lifecycle
Knowledge of common DevOps related tools, including Docker, Ansible, and Terraform
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment
Work sometimes performed in an environment where irritants such as noise, temperature, and lighting variations may exist, but there is little chance of injury, accident, or occupational health problems. Moderate to high levels of stress are sometimes experienced with this position.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Must be able to travel both domestic and internationally.
Must be familiar with and be able to work on simulation training devices, including using access stairs and ladders.
Must be able to work overtime and off-shift.
