NIQ (NielsenIQ) is a global leader in data analytics, providing essential insights into consumer behavior and market trends. We are seeking a proactive and results-driven individual to join our Strategic Analytics and Insights Sales team in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This Senior Business Development role focuses on driving growth for NielsenIQ’s SA&I business with key local and regional clients in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The role involves fostering profitable revenue expansion, increasing awareness of the SA&I portfolio, and managing client relationships to deepen commercial ties and generate additional revenue.
Must have:
  • Drive growth of Strategic Analytics & Insights business with key clients.
  • Take ownership of client relationships and leverage FMCG industry knowledge.

  • Lead contract renewal and negotiation, delivering revenue goals.
  • Engage with key decision-makers, influence strategies, and drive sales opportunities.
  • Develop consumer insights business with new clients.

  • Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
  • Cooperate with execution and operations teams.
  • Responsible for sales target.
  • 4+ years experience in market research, advanced analytics, or marketing/analytics sales.
  • Knowledge of consumer and shopper research methodologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Strong client relationship building, communication, and client management skills.
  • High negotiation, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
  • Skilled and polished communicator for client presentations/events.
  • Strategic thinking and vision.
  • High say-do ratio.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft tools.
  • Proficiency in English and Russian.

In this Senior Business Development role, you will be responsible for driving the growth of NielsenIQ’s Strategic Analytics & Insights (SA&I) business with key strategic local and regional clients in Kazakhstan and other central Asia countries, fostering profitable revenue expansion, and increasing awareness of the broader SA&I portfolio.

You will take ownership of key local and regional client relationships, leveraging your extensive knowledge of the FMCG industry and NielsenIQ’s products and services. Your role will involve aligning customer priorities with NielsenIQ’s capabilities, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to deepen commercial relationships and generate additional revenue. You will be responsible for managing a dynamic sales pipeline, accurately forecasting sales for your portfolio, and driving results through multiple sales drivers, including prospecting, campaigns, and other account engagement tools. You will be cooperating closely with the sales executives’ team, projects execution team, operation team, and data analytics teams internally and overlook total sales process for market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of revenue generation, driving profitable growth for NielsenIQ (NIQ) Strategic Clients. Develop and execute strategic account sales plans, aligning with SA&I regional cluster leader, and ensure consistent performance through the management of sales pipelines, setting sales quotas, and providing monthly sales forecasts.
  • Lead the renewal and negotiation of contracts while delivering revenue goals, maintaining a long-term growth focus.
  • Continuously engage with key decision-makers, influence strategies, and drive sales opportunities to help clients achieve their objectives (identifying opportunities, running capability meetings, preparing proposals, negotiating proposals).
  • Developing consumer insights business with new Clients: identifying needs, building relations, building awareness of research solutions, preparing proposals, negotiating.
  • Building research awareness in and outside of the organization: presenting at conferences, client and internal events. Understands emerging market trends and interdependencies impacting customers; leverages understanding to expand relationships with own clients.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Cooperating with the execution and operations team.
  • The person will be responsible for the sales target.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in market research, advanced analytics and/or in other marketing&analytics services sales.
  • Knowledge on consumer and shopper research methodologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Advantage of experience in working with FMCG, Retail or T&D.
  • Building strong relations with Clients, strong communication and Client management skills.
  • High Negotiation, Problem Solving & Communications Skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal & external teams.
