Key responsibilities include building strong client relationships, driving adoption of technology and best practices, partnering with creative agencies to standardize email content production, identifying and mitigating potential issues, and focusing on optimizing campaign delivery. The role requires close collaboration with client stakeholders and Merkle teams.

Job Description:

We have an exciting opening for a Senior Account Manager to join our busy team working on a leading health client. The Senior Account Manager is a key player in our team and will be the main contact for the client, other agencies and internally within Merkle. The Senior Account Manager will maintain client satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service and creating value for clients by leveraging strong account management, with a particular focus on leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud to support compliant, data-driven marketing initiatives for HCPs and Consumers.

The Senior Account Manager is ultimately responsible for the day-to-day execution of our pharmaceutical client's marketing strategies. This role requires close collaboration with client stakeholders and Merkle teams, acting as a consultant on Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities and driving adoption of tech and best practices, in alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • You will build strong relationships with key client stakeholders, including Digital/IT, brand, strategy/creative teams, to ensure best practices and capabilities are shared and implemented.

  • You'll help the clients draft marketing & campaign platform use cases to drive capability development.

  • You'll be partnering with creative agencies and execution teams to standardize email content production processes, while adhering to global requirements in a regulated environment.

  • You'll identify and mitigate potential issues, especially those related to regulatory review and data privacy.

  • You'll be focusing on and optimizing how we deliver campaigns, not just the high-level strategies in PowerPoint, and supporting a large team to implement omnichannel campaigns.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.

  • 6+ years of business experience, particularly in email and SMS campaign production management.

  • Must have experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Content Builder, and Journey Builder.

  • Experience working with healthcare or pharmaceutical clients and familiarity with regulatory review processes (e.g., MLR).

  • Strong communication skills: ability to clearly and effectively discuss projects; strong listening skills.

  • Relationship-building skills with clients and external partners.

  • Knowledge of omni-channel strategies and email/SMS best practices and implementations

  • Experienced manager and ability to co-lead a large, on- and off-shore team

  • Salesforce certification is a plus.

  • Experience with Confluence and/or Jira is a plus.

This position is 100% remote, reporting to the Portfolio Lead, Director.

The annual salary range for this position is $68,000 - $110,400. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
