Pentair is seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor for its Water Solutions manufacturing team in Dover, New Hampshire. The role involves leading a team of hourly production employees, focusing on on-time delivery, safety, and quality. Responsibilities include managing training, scheduling, overseeing quality, resolving operating issues, driving continuous improvement, and mentoring employees. The supervisor will focus on Managing Daily Improvement (MDI) and implementing corrective actions to meet production goals. They will also recommend and implement changes to production capability, tooling, and staffing, and lead safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of manufacturing/production supervisory experience
  • Performance management, hiring, training, and development experience
  • Effective communication and listening skills
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and manage stress
  • Mechanical aptitude and self-starter mentality
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

We have an opportunity for a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to join our Water Solutions manufacturing team in Dover, NH. This site specializes in manufacturing water filtration cartridges used in a wide variety of residential and commercial water treatment applications. You will lead a team of hourly production employees driven by on-time delivery, with consideration to all safety & quality procedures, policies and instructions. In this critical leadership position, you will have a direct impact on our ability to create products that help the world sustainably move, improve, and enjoy water!

** You will work on-site in Dover, NH and primarily work Monday – Friday from 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm. As a salaried employee, you may be asked to support production needs outside of these hours as needed. **

You will:

  • Manage training and scheduling, oversee quality issues, resolve routine operating problems and supervise a team of 2nd shift hourly employees. 
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by involving employees in problem solving and decision making, as well as recognizing them for exceptional work. 
  • Focus on Managing Daily Improvement (MDI) and assist work areas that are not meeting TAKT, standard work, 5-S, and other production goals by implementing corrective action.
  • Recommend and implement changes regarding production capability, tooling, and machine replacement and staffing to support production plans and cost-effective procedures, systems, etc.
  • Lead the implementation of safety initiatives, develop and maintain a safe work environment, and identify and implement solutions to safety issues as they arise.
  • Mentor and guide employees on the floor, provide hands-on support and foster growth through continuous feedback and coaching.

Key Qualifications: 

  • Have earned a post-high school degree (bachelor’s or associate’s) preferred.
  • Have 3+ years of manufacturing/production supervisory experience, including experience with performance management, hiring, training, development, etc.
  • Have leadership ability to include effective communication, listening skills, providing constructive feedback, effective stress management, building technical competence, building effective relationships with peers and managers, setting goals, and holding teams accountable.
  • Mechanical aptitude, motivated self-starter, and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer proficiency in entering data, completing reports, communicating information, and retrieving data. (Outlook, Excel, Word, Workday, ERP)

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200 - $113600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with a demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
