Quality Engineer – UK Full-time Derby – Onsite (5 days per week)

Department: Assembly Test and Control – Quality in Engine Build Division

Are you ready to champion operational excellence in a high-performance manufacturing environment? We’re looking for a talented Quality Engineer to join our team, driving impactful change and ensuring flawless customer delivery across our Production Test Facility.

We are hiring for a UK Quality Engineer to join an exciting, dynamic, delivery-focused team in the Engine Build Division at Rolls-Royce. This role supports the Production Test Facility operations and focuses on compliance, problem-solving, and improvement delivery to ensure the highest quality standards for outgoing products.

As a key member of the team, you’ll be leading investigations, supporting new engine launches, and collaborating across functions to continuously improve outcomes and maintain our world-class reputation.

What you will be doing:

• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using the 8D problem resolution process.

• Analyse data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Coordinate compliance checks and perform Go Look Sees of key processes to ensure regulatory standards are met.

• Engage cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and customers to support product readiness and improvement.

• Contribute to the launch of new engine platforms with a focus on product quality and customer satisfaction.

• Champion lessons learnt and Quality Risk Management across the business.

They are the fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles and for this role we are looking for someone with:

• Engineering or inspection experience within aerospace, automotive, or equivalent industries.

• Strong working knowledge of quality tools and functions within an Integrated Product Team (IPT).

• Accredited 8D practitioner (essential).

• Green Belt accreditation (preferred).

• Confident working with Microsoft Excel and other analysis tools.

• Experience in Supply Chain and/or Operations Quality (preferred).
